I could not let January pass without a bit of Arctic inspiration. This pretty variscite’s whitish, rustic matrix looks to me like a smattering of ice floes drifting away from the continent while its color is reminiscent of the luminosity of the water against the ice. The stone does not have any backing, so I was able to cut a little iceberg shaped window in the back of the pendant, next to an teeny polar bear (.....still working on my pics, I’ll show you the completed back tomorrow but you can swipe to see one more photo).
❄️❄️❄️ Enjoy the rest of the weekend! 😍
After being down and out with the flu bug all week it has been very nice to wake up and feel normal these last few days. I forgot how much I liked eating and drinking coffee. Here's a pleasant landscape in celebration of recovered exuberance.

A State wide storm kept us close to home yesterday but you know we couldn't resist getting jiggy! Cut first tracks to some questionable ice but once we got past the soft edges it was on! Had to get my homie from Cali out on ice one more time before he headed home. Ended up coming out heavy with fish tacos on our minds 🤙
Happy #SundayFunday ! We hope you got the chance to #optoutside with your girl squad this week! 👯❤️
Thanks to everyone that joined us out on the trails! We can’t wait for the next meet ups!

Beautiful light house views. We were snooping around and the lighthouse caretaker asked if we wanted to go up. We said yes of course! We were lucky because they usually only do tours on Wednesday’s. Sometimes braving the quiet hidden places give the best rewards. ☺️☺️
It makes me feel weird when people say I’m good at lip reading. I never know how to respond. It’s kind of like if I were to tell someone ‘you’re so good at talking!’ 🤨 As a baby, I learned to lip read to make up for the loss of sounds in speech. I never consciously practiced or took lessons in lip reading. It just kind of happened because I had to adapt to this hearing world!
