What a weekend! This past Saturday was all I could have ever imagined, and more. Experiencing my first ever IFBB @ifbbaustralia_official show was so much fun and I am over the moon. I met so many amazing people, had a blast and have certainly learned alot. The adventure I have been on to get to stage day has been incredible. So many people have helped me achieve that goal - so many people day in and day out, who offer so much support that I don't even know what to say, except thank you from the bottom of my heart. .

(as long as you can maintain good form)...or alternatively increase your reps if you’re struggling to lift the next weight up. Keep it simple, apply overload and progress ☺️ no need for any over complicated exercises, sometimes the simple stuff of more effective.
#motivationMonday Walking into a new week like helloooo bitchessss 💃🏼 We are going to call last week “reverse diet trial” and this week it’s the real deal. If anyone watched any of my 300 stories yesterday, you’ll know how I’ve been struggling with lack of structure now that prep is over. To be honest, I feel very lost after dieting for so long and being on a “ticking box” tight regime since March. Get up, cardio, eat, work, train, sleep. Every day. Since March. My Monday’s were no different than my Saturdays. So not having that anymore, has been mentally really tough for someone who craves routine so much. The added factor of eating off plan more than I would’ve liked has also left me feeling a bit out of sync as I’m not used to “letting go” and slipping on my diet like I have. That being said, and after regrouping with the voice of reason and my rock, @thebeast_barnard (After a not so ideal meltdown), he made me realise it’s now about finding a structure and a routine to fit my off season, my new job and new goals (including waffle eating at 11pm on a Saturday night). Still a structure nonetheless (to keep my anxious behaviour at bay 🙃) but one that is better suited to my current goals and allows me to enjoy the freedom of off season better rather than feeling like I’ve failed for not doing X or Y one day, making it easier to stick to it too. It really is true what they say, bodybuilding will teach you more about yourself than you can even begin to imagine. Getting those stair master shreds💪🏽 my only goal is to make my self proud. During this mini cut I have lost 5kgs and I am still disappointed in the way I look, so that gives me a hella lot more motivation to work 10X harder. This happened today. RockSolid 5'10 1/2 weighing 222 pounds vs 6'2 250 pounds. He is use to box and do muay Thai . Great guy. My neighbor. I put in a hour of drills outside and I told his wife who was out back with the kids to go get her hub for my last round and tellem to bring his gloves and get some free licks on me to help me get some different looks. Lol. I need some work to get me ready for the young big dawgs. Just technique sparring. Helped tremendously having someone his size throwing at me.

It was a great crowd in Portland and most everyone competes or did, so it was pretty cool to see all the different changes based on everyone being at different stages.

It's funny how life works, if someone had told me 2 years ago that I'd be where I am now I would have never believed them. Within the last 12 months I competed in 3 Ifbb shows with no previous experience in the fitness industry prior to hopping on stage. I sure as hell was not ready nor did I have enough muscle mass, but it was an experience that provided growth and my new found love for the sport 💪🏽. After stepping off stage at the Arnold's in march of this year I was lucky enough to become part of one of the best teams there is #teamdre 😍 and there began my "improvement season" I have been working my Butt off (literally 🙊) and am so proud of the results that I am slowly building. With my next Arnold's prep closely approaching I honestly cannot wait to begin my next journey to the stage and this time with my number 1 right by my side 💯 @cainwini . I truly think everybody deserves what it is that there willing to work for and I am more then willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams, this is only the beginning and I couldn't be more excited💕✨ .

It's the start of amateur #Olympia here in Hog Kong and so I want to wish everyone competing from friends to clients the best of luck. For me it was the start of my pro career and without doubt the show which I felt the most pressure when I won 2 years ago. Firstly at that time despite having won lots of shows (2 x national champion, ben weider diamond cup and overall winner of the Asian championships NONE of that gave me a pro card! Luckily that has changed now !) so this was the big one for me - my chance to (if I won ) finally get that card!Secondly I had a back injury about 6 weeks out and I could barely train just do some light cardio and a little upper body closer to the show - which I did stuffed full of painkillers, holding water in my legs and generally putting a brace face on. So here I was - the first show to award procards - and I was coming into it without being able to prepare properly. All of this knowing I would have loads of friends and family in crowd coming to see me. There were days I was just so upset but all I could do was give it my best. That's all you can ever do in a sport like this that is judged in such away. Do your best, enjoy the day (after all you have trained hard for it) and get on stage and have fun. Yes it's a competiton but if you can't enjoy the day (to me) your in the wrong sport as it never goes your way every time no matter how good you think you are. Also post event just get over the result if it wasn't the place you wanted and make sure next time you come in so damn good that the judges are wowed from the moment you step on stage - get some feedback as to how you can be better (don't just assume that because your coach or friend said you looked the best that they are right as they are not the judges!!) I've yet to see any really bad calls (apart from one of my own but I never posted about it I just accepted it and it drove me on) - because you can't change it! So look your best ever , get on that amazing Olympia stage (it's as good if not better than a fair few pro stages !) and show off that hard work you have put it 👍🏻😬💪🏽#Asia#ifbbpro#competition#goodluck
