Hiked up above Lanakai to the top of the pillboxes (and beyond) last night as the sun went down. It's one of my favorite trails in the world with beautiful visuals of the Pacific on one side and the lush green mountains of Oahu on the other. I felt really fortunate and blessed to be up there last night by myself and reflect on life, surviving and finishing #HURT100 , and how valuable life is...and how it should be maximized, especially in our youth and when in good health. I’ve been a bit unlucky to pick up a hernia in addition to my shoulder injury but there are some positives - I’ve managed to get a scan on my abdomen on Saturday morning so I’m hoping I can get under the knife quickly.
Also, it’s definitely a hernia, while @katiekershaw was in Superdry earlier I sneezed and half of my insides ensued up on the outside 😬😂.
Still, apparently it’s fine to poke yourself back in again and carry on, so that’s (sort of) fine then...!
I went out for a couple of very short runs today so as not to put myself under too much stress while I find a way to exercise with this. This was the first run, wit another 3.5km tonight. Everything seems ok, even if I did time my night run with a massive snow shower!
DAY 3 ✅
51kms ticked off despite niggles, @nairnsoatcakes breaking free and not so warm weather BUT still, the ‘pinch us’ sensation stays strong and the grins stay stuck 😁

Blitz workout this morning and 5k run this evening 👍🏼
I wanted to add a couple of runs this week on top of the blitz workouts. I told myself I wanted to do 5k this evening. I’ve run a few times since I started again in the new year but this was my first 5k for a long while - I’ve had a knock of confidence running wise (you’d never know I’d run a bloody marathon nine months ago!) so I needed to do it. It was tough. I felt tired, but I got it done. And beforehand I was enthusiastic and wanted to get out the door, even though it’s been a manic day, so I’m going to take it as a win and use that time as something to work on!
W2D2 done - just digging into dinner and then a bit of The Crown on Netflix before an early night. Have a good evening insta-peeps..... hump day tomorrow 🙌🏻

10 mile long run done with my Dad on the bike 🚲 ✅- it was cold, muddy and windy as hell with a few naughty hills thrown in! Ran out to Ware and did a few loops and then ran back along the river - feel really confident and positive after doing that... longest run in so long! ❤️ and now I pass the baton to Matt... who is currently sulking that I’m already done and he has to do his after work tomorrow 😂 #smug#sorrynotsorry

This Morning I smashed out some PB's.
I say i.. it was infact "we".
I have never been in the weights area of a gym, I had never done a dead lift before. Never laid on a weights bench before, Never used the rope in the Rig Area. .
But today I did, after a run on the dreadmill.. during it I felt weak, but i realised it was because i had such a strong lady beside me. who in my eyes is a weights champion, but did she keep the strength to herself..no... she transferred it to me.
My PB's may be tiny, but i did them, infact I smashed everyone of them.. because someone believed, that someone is the superwoman @redfaced_runner..

J’ai envie de me donner les moyens de progresser : retrouver la nourriture plus saine, offrir à mon corps ce dont il a besoin pour y arriver.
Que la motivation tienne dans le temps 🤞!

It snowed last night so had to take my tempo to the gym because my city is garbage at clearing the streets & sidewalks this winter. OK every winter. 😜 3x12 min @ 7.4. We won't talk about the gum that someone left in the drink holder on the TM before me 😖
You'll have to forgive my cheesy grin and awkward pose, but I'm just super pumped I nailed this workout! Honestly, I was really nervous and almost talked myself out of it during my warm-up😂 I recognize I am a ways away from where I once ways, and I know it's going to take a lot physically but more so mentally to get back there, then go beyond. It's been quite a while since I've hit my short to mid distance paces and my head was filled with so much fear and doubt. But I promised myself to try my best and to not beat myself up because I am a work in progress. Well guess what, I just crushed all 5 intervals!!! And though it was actually even harder for me than I had anticipated🙊, I'm super proud I pushed through and made it happen💪🏃 Now it's back to real work I go for a bit then off to get the kiddos. I hope everyone is having an awesome Tuesday!

Since 1,5 years I work together with the Bavarian company @underpressuresox. I love compression in general and especially these products.
Together we develop new products and styles. It's exciting to improve my own performance with products where I am involved in the development.
Wearing and testing it every day under every condition (work, running, skiing, etc. ) gives me the highest confidence in my equipment.
