"We lost ourselves in books,
we found ourselves there too."
Happy weekend, bookstagram!♥✨
Just going to make this quick and simple because I have a family gathering today😊
What's your current read?

A rich historical novel following the struggle of two women trapped by social constraints. Separated by 100 years, they both face love and loss and the need to figure out where they belong. Amazing!!! Thank you @duttonbooks @penguinrandomhouse for giving me an early copy of this amazing book!!! Full review on my blog, link in my bio 👩🏼💻📚👩🏼💻 #firsttoread#theaddress#fionadavis#bookreview#bookblog
@kolewrites tagged me to post a photo for the #bookandmug prompt. Guys, nice-looking mugs have a low survival rate here at home. They either get broken or disappear or get lost in the storage. 😆 That's why I decided to post a photo of this elegant cup @lexlibris_ gave me instead. I use it more for display/prop purposes to keep it safer!
If you want to do this, please consider yourself tagged. 😊
If there's one thing I totally love, it's getting home to some #bookmail !!!! ♥️ 📚 📩 < < < < < < < < < < < < SWIPE LEFT < < < < < < < < < <
Thank you @jackiereadsbooks for hosting such a great giveaway!!!! So happy to get my hands on Dead Woman Walking! I'm definitely interested in #buddyreading , just let me know when xo
Good morning 💕
Let's play a mathematical game.
• Think of a number.
• Add ten. Double the result. Subtract six. • Divide by two. •Take away the number you first thought of.
• The answer is seven. Always. 😊
Have you thought, why does it work? Check the example in picture numbered 1. But calculation gives hardly any insight into why the answer is always seven, what ever number you choose.
In ancient Egypt, the general way is to think the unknown number as 'heap', meaning 'some fixed but unknown number '. Check the calculation in picture numbered 2.
Now try solving this using algebra. Consider the unknown number as x. Now check the calculation in picture numbered 3. .
How does it feel to find the trick. .
This book The Magical Maze by Ian Stewart is full of such mathematical puzzles and tricks. There are even more complex ones with illustrations to help in understanding. If you like mathematics and love solving mathematical puzzles, use logical thinking to solve such problems, then I would recommend this book to you. .
Have a nice Saturday!! #TheMagicalMaze#IanSteward#SaturdayReads
One of my ultimate auto-buy authors is @kristenashleybooks. She writes the most enticing romances, and they are TOTAL re-read fodder. Case in point: I bought these new trade paperbacks of the first three books in her Colorado Mountain series just for re-reading purposes. I'm almost done with The Gamble now and already so very pleased with this decision. Love this book, and adore the paperback!
☀ Do you have any auto-buy authors?
I've been missing for a couple of days 😩 I got strep and this week has been a crazy one! But who else LOVED Little Miss and Little Mr. books??? I would love to start collecting them again! I only have a couple left from my childhood. ☹️😍 #littlemiss#littlemister#childhood#90skid#90s#ilovebooks
Here is my TBR for this summers #biannualbibliothon 1. Group Book: Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh 2. Read a host's favourite genre (diverse books) and an LGBTQIA+ book: Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst 3. A book that is/was banned and a book to movie adaptation: James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl 4. Throwback challenge (a book over 300 pages) and a book you've seen somewhere other than booktube: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Let's talk about this LOVELY drink of water from @bronwynarcherbooks 😍❤️ Excited to dive into this soon. •
Synopsis: A Gilded Age heiress. A vanished fortune. A long-buried secret. “Pure perfection!” –Book Boyfriends
It will take more than straight As to survive senior year.
Welcome to the Valley of the Moon—world-famous Sonoma County in Northern California. To its uber-wealthy residents, Sonoma is a dreamy paradise of rolling hills and stunning vineyards. But for high school senior Lana Goodwin, it’s hell on Earth.
She’s over being the poorest student at the posh Briar School for Girls. She’s totally over her dad’s failing vintage car business. And she’s BEYOND over her horrid former stepsister—and current classmate—Cressida Crawford, who lives to torment her.
Worst of all, it’s the tenth anniversary of her mother’s mysterious suicide. Now someone—or something—is trying to make contact with her. On the verge of graduation, Lana finds herself locked in a life-or-death race to uncover her mother’s long-buried secrets.
Can she claim her birthright before her future is snatched away?
I simply love this cover design by @sarahandschooling 🐧 This book is a collection that brings together real-life experiences of love, grace, faith, dignity and courage from 21 ordinary gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Singapore who have survived extraordinary circumstances. 🐧 I am hoping to read and share more of Asian literature 🤣 Happy Weekend & Happy Reading, my bookish friends! #bookstagram#bookdesign#lgbtqbook#whatareyoureadingsg
