We are very excited to feature the DJs from ProVolve Entertainment on our blog today! They were kind enough to write some tips on choosing Cocktail Hour & Dinner music. If you're in need of a DJ, these guys are fantastic; 6-time winners of The Knot's Best of Wedding DJs, they're one of the best in Central PA! Find the link to the post in our bio!!
I am super excited to hang with my friend Ali of @spottedowlstyle in Lititz tonight. Her shop is the definition of eye candy. Stop in on this Second Friday to say hi and shop for those last minute Easter basket gifts. I have the cutest little oil samples to share with those that are curious about oils and info on some new coaching groups starting up for spring.
In my work space today making the cutest sample rollers for friends who stop in @spottedowlstyle this Friday night for Second Friday in Lititz. This blend of lemon, lavender, and peppermint is essential for body support as the season does its thing. Looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing old friends.
Six days!! The week is here! All the goodies for the swag bags are rolling in and I will be busy prepping for the Mama and Baby Essential Oils class I am hosting with @faithandgraceclothing. If you are a mama in Central Pennsylvania grab another mother and enjoy a morning out learning how to support your body and baby through pregnancy and beyond. We will have this beautiful restored barn to ourselves. Link to register in profile.
In preparing for an upcoming emotions class I discovered this gem of an oil. I received it free in my wellness order but had no clue how to use it. I just read how it has been used in folk medicine to support emotional wellbeing. When used with positive affirmations it can ward off and release negative energy. Always be prepared because the enemy of our soul is always near. I have been putting it on my favorite @thebohemianbluebird diffuser bracelet. I love the woodsy licorice scent. So different from any of the other essential oils scents I own. If you are not on an essential oil team already, I invite you to learn more about emotional health with my team on Tuesday night. Leave your email and I will send you an invite to our emotional health class.
The hope of spring weather has me thinking about a wardrobe change for my girls. I love little floral dresses with a pair of farm boots. My friend Katie from @faithandgraceclothing will have her new collection of handsewn spring dresses available to shop at my upcoming Mama & Baby Essential Oil Class. Her dresses are so beautiful yet practical for your little farm girl. Looking forward to a mama's morning out to pamper and educate you. Link to register in bio.
I don't make butter often, but when I do it is a treat. I had quarts of raw cream fermenting in my fridge. Aka I forgot it was in there. So let's not waste right? Past dated raw milk or cream is still okay to consume. Just not pasturized dairy. I usually turn sour raw dairy into yogurt or butter. Hence the cultured part. The best is that I also have cultured buttermilk to make pancakes or dressing. Check out my story for the process.
There is only one way around germs and that is thieves. Let's face it, kids are quicker than we are. They touch things, share things, and even lick things in a blink of an eye. Thieves is an essential part of raising tiny humans. If you are local to central Pennsylvania be sure to register for my Chemical Free Baby Class to learn more about raising kids chemical free style. The girls and I stopped in at our local greenhouse to see if they were going to do their annual chick days. I walked out with these two cuties to freshen up the place. These past few days I can't keep up. We are living out of wash baskets plus my house smells and looks like the barn. Not that bad, but you can only imagine with 13 puppies living in my garage. Yet I try to add chicks to the mix. Maybe it was a sign that they no longer participate in chick days. Plants are way less maintenance. I love my life, but sometimes I dream of hiring a cleaning service and an interior decorator. A girl can dream right? In the meantime I will keep diffusing stress away and applying it liberally.
Today is Fastnacht Day! 🍩 This is an annual Pennsylvania Dutch celebration that falls on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. The tradition is to eat the very best foods, which are part of the German tradition, before the Lenten fast. There are three types of Fastnachts, one made with yeast, one made with baking powder and one made with potatoes and yeast. These were found at Mary Jane's Bake Shop at Roots! #alwayslancaster#ilovelititz#rootsfarmersmarket#fastnacht2017
