After spending the morning at home making my Christmas cards, I needed to get out into the unexpectedly beautiful sunshine. I decided to go to Kerrera so I hopped on my bike and cycled to the Kerrera ferry then cycled down to Gylen Castle hoping for some beautiful light and stunning scenes. Another obviously keen photographer was down there, getting all the best angles and searching for some bangahs! As he approached I realised it was @gord.cook! I have had a few Instagram coincidences over the years and this was definitely one of them. Gordon lives in Glasgow so it’s a fair drive up here and I don’t come over all that often, and because of the power of Instagram we recognised each other straight away even though we had never met before! Oh and I was pleased that I got the sun in the window of the castle. It’s a #whpclassic ! #oban#ricohgr#kerrera#scotland
Arrived late last night and woke up to this. I can’t express enough the positive impact that the desert and public lands have had on my life.
Here’s to all the images I’ll never be able to print because I’m a serial underexposer. I just love the dark. And no one can stop me! The sun’s last light here at Albion, Mauritius. If I could live in a house overlooking such a view I’d never take it for granted.
