Today we're #celebrating something huge - TOLLER HAS HAD NO ACCIDENTS IN THE HOUSE FOR 3 DAYS!!! And by that I mean *no* toileting indoors, at all 😃 After Toller's accident, I thought this would never happen - just a few weeks ago we were cleaning up 20+ accidents A DAY, so yeah this is pretty damn amazing! 😊 What changed? We started spending more time in the kitchen with the back door open after she came out her crate, not letting her into the living room for an hour (and obviously still rewarding her hugely every successful toilet outdoors). If she 'went' in the kitchen we gave her verbal praise (easy clean for, much better than carpet), and outdoors = a ton of treats. She began taking herself into the kitchen to go to the loo, then relying more on outside. And now we're managing JUST outside!! Today she only had to spend 20 minutes in the kitchen before coming through 🙂
🌈 For anybody who's unaware, Toller missed out on life from 4-9 months of age due to a horrific accident (hence the missing leg!). Due to this she never learnt the concept of toileting outdoors; she learnt how to hold it in her crate, but that's it, and world toilet almost constantly indoors.
