Merakee 2.0 goes live this Saturday!
This week is based on the positive response and feedback you gave us.. So we thought we'd up the ante just a little.
This Saturday, spend your evening with us. You won't regret it.
Converse with Sanath, a social activist and teacher in the government sector and learn about the travials of children and teachers alike.
Watch a screening of and discuss an artful short film *no spolers* by writer and director Ajay, and get the low down on what it takes to make a movie.
And finally, strengthen your bladders and give yourself that six pack you've always wanted. Aanchal is a budding stand up comedian and she is going to laugh your socks/chappals off.
Also, our official sponsor Flour Power will be there! With treats to tantalise any taste, be sure.
And don't worry if you aren't in the city, you can catch up with our live broadcast on Facebook with whatever audio and video quality we can manage.
This is Merakee 2.0. we believe in connecting interesting and talented people. Be a part of something beautiful.
You can’t win if you don’t begin! .
Remember that small progress, is still progress! Keep moving that needle forward because you’ve got goals to reach! Don’t worry you may be crawling, but if your patient enough, you keep your head down and remain focused, in due time you will be running.. -

Many times fear gets the best of us, it may strike us even when we are on the cusp of greatness, it lingers in the front of our minds and sabotages many opportunities that come our way. Fear is temporary, fear is an emotion, and yes we all have our own fears, But aren’t you tired of letting your fears win? It’s time you take the reigns and design the life you’ve always wanted. Overcome that fear and take your goals to the next level. Oh, you’re thinking about what he, she or they will think? Trust us, they don’t give a damn about what you’re doing because they’re busy working on their own thing! Don’t mind them and do you because the next biggest opportunity of your life can be within your grasp. Don’t be afraid to grab it. -

“Misaal Mumbai” is an initiative by Artist Rouble Nagi supported by Smt. Poonam Mahajan, (Member of Parliament from Mumbai North Central) President of Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha and Shri Ashish Shelar MLA Vandre West (Vidhan Sabha constituency) Bhartiya Janata Party and President. We will be painting over 250 plus houses in Jaffar Baba Colony, Mount Mary, Bandra West. We will be doing this with the help artists, locals and residents. We have trained some of the younger volunteers from art colleges in painting workshops and ended up employing 25 students to finish the project in less than one months. The result will be an explosion of rainbow hues that would be visible from far away, stretching from one dwelling to the next in a wave of unexpected energy.
It is a quick way to create visual impact. Our projects will also employ people and give them a sense of ownership over the artworks they create in their own community while improving the condition of their houses.
Street art opens a window for discussion and some positive news from places. Colourful surroundings will change the lives of the local community. The main goal is to give life to the slum and keep it clean and hygienic. It is not only about painting the walls it's much more for the community & the people living there as we will provide waterproof roof to each home too.
We merely want to create interventions, that hopefully ignite some other change. This project is in collaboration with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
In the end, we hope our Project “ MISAAL MUMBAI” will help others to set up projects of their own, be it Mumbai or anywhere else in India. After our initiative Paint Dharavi which started over 2years back, #misaalmumbai is our third slum painting initiative in India, hope you will be a part of it 🙏🙏
By volunteering you have just given the most expensive and priceless gift anyone could have ever given – *#kindness * and *#love *
This will be our 3rd year providing Backpacks with #School Supplies, #food , #toys , #welfare and #hygiene materials to children in villages, physically challenged schools and IDP camps, and 5th year of reaching out with various empowerment, training, small grants, medicals and other #community#service#initiative programs.
For some #people , #volunteering is about giving. But for the likes of us, it is a way of living, it is our #culture , attitude and #lifestyle .
On behalf of all the #families and #children in rural areas, families and children displaced by boko haram terror war in IDP camps, children with disabilities, widows in #maiduguri , #Borno State less privileged communities in #lagos and others we have reached --- THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR #LOVE AND SACRIFICE!
WE #HONOUR YOU - THANK YOU! ❤
In order to achieve your goal, you need to start taking steps towards it. Take the first step and you will be able to see the next step. Don't worry about how long or difficult the path is, just take an initiative and everything else will fall into place.
Birch Green honours its Caring Heroes
👉🏼 A special presentation took place at Birch Green #CareHome recently to recognise the work of its #CaringHeroes
The #initiative was launched in 2016 to highlight the unsung #heroes of #socialcare , who often go the extra mile to support #elderly and vulnerable people.
In November 2017 Springhill #CareGroup began to present those honoured with bespoke pin badges, and last week Birch Green’s most recent Caring Heroes gathered for a special presentation.
The group, Vicky, Dave, Becky, Barbara, Jamie and Angela, were presented with their badges and certificates by Acting Manager, Vicky Sudworth and Virginia Perkins, Associate Director for People and Organisational Development at Springhill Care Group.
Acting General #Manager Vicky Sudworth was among the group named as a Caring Hero, for rushing to the aid of a #colleague who had been involved in a car accident.
She said: “Caring Heroes is a great way to demonstrate the hard work of not just our own staff, but also #relatives , #residents and professional contacts who have gone out of their way to help. “There is some fabulous work being done behind the scenes that many people do not get to hear about, and this is a way of shining a spotlight on some of these unsung heroes. “I couldn’t believe it when I was #nominated for an #award myself, and it’s a real #honour to have been recognised in this way.” 👉🏼To view all our photos on our Facebook page search for @birchgreencarehome 👍🏼 #BirchGreenCareHome#NursingHome#CareHome#DementiaCare#Skelmersdale#Lancashire#Employer#Employee#EmployeeAppreciation#CareHomes#SocialCare#HealthCare#Congratulations#ThankYou

Living our lives half-way because of #fear (that we hide under excuses and other names) will have us pulling back from life.
