Many of you know that when I'm not helping people create a movement that embodies freedom and provides fulfillment as a health and fitness coach, I work in the public school system. The majority of my day is spent assessing kids and using that data to make decisions regarding "labels". Labels that inform services. I take my job very seriously because labels can become identities. They can determine a mindset or set the route for a individual's life. They can become what someone is known as. "Learning Disabled" or as having an "Other Health Impairment". The point I'm making is that labels are everywhere. We are given so many even at birth, as we play sports, to describe our features, to communicate our training, etc. I want you to think about how many labels you have placed upon you and if they are HELPING you or HINDERING you.
I want you to focus on the TRUTH, not labels. You get to decide the word that you believe. Do you believe you are lazy and unworthy. Do you believe you are dumb and will never amount to anything? OR do you stand firm in the belief that you are ABLE. SMART. STRONG. ENOUGH.
Then there is .... "ability", the construct of course. The ability of a person to perform. But what most people don't realize is that you CAN grow your brain. You can develop skills. You can GET BETTER. You have control over what your "ability" becomes. You can either walk with the words people feed you or you can walk by faith. I choose FAITH. I can't do this life on my own. Been there, tried that. Failed miserably.
You see every single person has assignments given to them by God himself and if we sit complacent in the labels the world gives us, we can't possibly complete those assignments. Maybe its inviting someone to church with you, helping a neighbor out, donating food to the food bank, opening the door for another person, or telling a person what you love about them.
Don't let labels hold you captive. Lead with the truth-know the truth. Are you in the crowd or are you walking with Christ? Do you know your mission and are you leading with it?

Haven’t been that humbled by a workout in a longggg time. Like SHIT dude! 💀 Since my current training split is only 5 days I just kinda go with what I’m feeling on Saturday’s. I was CRAVING a major sweat and that did not go unanswered 💦 I used to struggle big time with workouts like this. I felt that if I couldn’t keep up the speed of everyone else, that I sucked. I wasn’t in good enough shape to be doing it. Um HELLO!!👋🏼 that’s the POINT, Lauren 🙄 you’re not gonna get in shape by giving up and sitting on your ass. Giving YOUR best is all you need to do. And if it doesn’t CHALLENGE you, it won’t CHANGE you 👊🏼🔥 ((finished off with a 12 Days of Christmas workout circuit that I posted in my bootcamp for an extra challenge. Let’s just say they got a video of my heavy breathing, sweaty face and some shorts up my butt 😂😂 #noshame )) happy Saturday my weekend warriors! 💪🏼🤟🏼
So thankful to be able to spend the evening with some of my local leaders and take them out for the night. Food, fun and friends. At 24 weeks pregnant I'm feeling great. My doc told me last week to continue doing what I'm doing and modify as I feel necessary, so that's what I'm doing. On days I'm tired, I modify. If I don't feel like I'm keeping good form, I modify. If I can't keep my core engaged properly, I modify. My doc is actually a member at my gym and knows I'm a personal trainer/group fitness instructor. He trusts me to do my research and make good decisions when it comes to my workouts and how my body feels.
Please make sure you talk to your doctor and also have a trainer help you if you are continuing to workout during your pregnancy. There are plenty of benefits to doing it, but you need to be smart and aware of your body.
#insanitylive again was a blast! I had a couple of newbies last night who killed it. We had a great workout. I figured out how early I need to eat so I don’t feel like I’m going to throw up, so that’s a bonus!
And then this morning with my lifers for a workout/girl talk/therapy session.
Fitness isn’t about looking good in a bikini. However, that is a nice perk 👙. What it’s really about is honoring the body God gave you to the best of your ability. It’s about relationships with people who empower you and push you to new limits.
I don’t do any of this for any other reason than to feel good, be healthy, and inspire and help others find the same thing.

because the weekend is HARD i'm bringing you so much more than a move of the day. Im giving you a mini circuit. .
each move is 30 seconds EXCEPT the power move. do the other moves in 2 rounds then add the 1 min power move. use your timer to keep the round back to back with no pause. try to get a seemless transition from one move to the next. .
In Insanity there is always a modifier dont be afraid to use it or come in and out of it just DONT STOP! 💪Power Jacks - watch positioning dont let your knees come over your toes/keep your shoulders back/keep emergy in the arms
💪Floor Switch Kicks-the point is to get an ab crunch going so even if u modify squeeze those muscles keep your triceps tight for better support 💪 Push Up Jacks - gaze slightly out front try to keep the booty down take your time form before speed on this one push through your chest and palms
💪ski abs-make sure you hit that plank, hands are stacked under your shoulders engage your upper body to help suport you through this move
💪power move :plank punch.. hit the plank, try not to rock your hips too much core tight, gaze a head, hands stacked below shoulders hang on for 1 full min💪
