Putting the finishing touches on my post pregnancy Ab Rehab program this week and I'm wondering what else you'd like to see included in a post pregnancy fitness program? What are you looking to learn or accomplish with your core/body post pregnancy? .
Obviously we want to tone, tighten, strengthen your abs/core and (for some of us) heal diastasis recti but what else? .
One thing I am making a point to include is quite a bit of glute activation & strengthening as well. This is something that women often need after baby and truly is part of your core so it should be a focal point of a post natal training program. .
This program will be putting some glute knowledge and super effective activation exercises I've learn from the king 👑 @bretcontreras1 🙌🏼 to work plus learning how to properly re-engage and use your core unit to strengthen, engage and shrink your inner corset (TVA) without making any present ab separation worse. .
Any feedback or other topics/training tools/ information you want to see in this plan? I'd love to hear from you! 👏🏼🙌🏼😘
We're headed to South Africa in June, 2018. Why? Because we're cultural ambassadors. We change hearts and minds through music. We build bridges across diverse cultures, and we make the world a better place, one note at a time--just as we did when we sang for 5000 people in Instanbul in 2015, even though the original venue where we were scheduled to perform cancelled our show under homophobic pressure at the 11th hour. Learn the whole story in our new short video documentary about our tour history, “Cultural Ambassadors: Boston Gay Men’s Chorus” at http://bit.ly/2kNeTcD. Learn what we give--and what we get in return--when we go on the road.
#SNICGala Honoree Spotlight: John P. Albert
Mr. Albert is a strong supporter of the nonprofit community and has been advocating for at-risk populations throughout his adult life. As a lobbyist with Bolton-St. Johns, a government relations and public affairs firm, he represents many of New York’s leading non-profits, focusing on the issues of youth and education. He is a proud Queens resident and is deeply involved in promoting the participation of immigrant communities in the political, civic and cultural life of the borough. “I am an active member of my local community,” said Mr. Albert, who was born in India and has lived in Queens since the age of seven. “I enjoy a perch where I know the plans that government and elected officials have for neighborhoods and know the needs of the community through the work of my clients. I try and take that knowledge and share it with my neighbors and clients so they can magnify the voice of those who need services or those they serve.” Mr. Albert’s relationship with QCH dates to 2007, when he supported the expansion of our after school programming through his position at The After School Corporation. Most recently, John has assisted us in our board development work.
Join us in celebrating Mr. Albert's impact on Queens neighborhoods! ⭐ Tickets available online at www.qchgala.org. Along with Mr. Albert, at the gala we will honor John Dimino, VP and Regional Manager, M&T Bank and the @queensmuseum.
Do you surround yourself with positive people, friends, coworkers and relationships?? When I say positive it means the people that make you want to be better, that build you up no matter what, that love you for you no matter who that is . Negative thought takes so much energy and can waste so much time in your daily life . It's amazing how when you are in a positive mindset how everything in life seems to fall into place. Putting positive vibes into the universe you have to remember " vibration attracts like vibration"
Something to think about on a Monday -Do you surround yourself with positive people? - Are you being that for someone else ?
Tag someone who is a positive influence in your life.
I’ve always been fascinated by this word “integrity.” I hear it tossed around a lot lately.
What does integrity mean to you?
I love this definition that says it’s “the state of being whole and undivided.” In a world of glaring device screens and the liturgy of consumerism and comparison, being whole and undivided is a luxury known by few. I’m typically not one of those few.
One of my burning core desires is to live to my fullest, most vibrant capacity and create beauty that inspires integration and realization of what is true and loving.
This is nearly impossible to do if my days are spent on the hamster wheel of busyness and disconnection, constantly getting to the next thing to check off to-dos on that sacred list.
That being said, Fall kicks up the dirt of busyness big time and today feels like a glorious window out into its landscape.
I’m eager to practice a greater measure of integrity and awareness, looking curiously for that which feels heavy and restricting, holding us captive in a bland, striving state of being.
it’s Monday after all, and you and I are the artists of today. What will you paint? What will you write? What do you know to be true in the moment? Let’s imagine just how beautiful that story can be...
The JBT 8 Week Shred officially kicked off today. One week in for me and I'm already 2 kilos down and feeling lighter, brighter, clearer and have way more energy. Just can't wait for my magic beans to arrive today to help flood my body with even more nutrients from all the colours of the rainbow. I'm more determined than ever to say goodbye to these extra kilos, to detox and sweat it out a F45. The JBT is a lifestyle change not a FAD diet. #jbtlifestyle#jbt8weekshred#cleanearing#inspirechange#sweatisfatcrying
Those people .. the ones in your life you make you look at yourself, your actions, your old unnecessary patterns. The ones who call you on your shit and challenge you. Keep them and hope They keep you! They make you learn and grow and evolve. They make you challange yourself and your reactions. That doesn't mean you might not react badly or stupidly in that moment but it means after you can look at it, evaluate it, see where you may have been wrong. They teach you your strengths lie in your ability to apologise. To remain open. To remain loving and caring on days where you struggle. Because that's what leads to unconditional.
They teach you forgiveness. That doesn't mean everything's perfect all the time. Life is messy. But if you can work together and grow together. That's priceless. That's the stuff that fills hope and gratitude.. Keep learning, keep growing, keep revising who you are and showing love.. #belove#beyou#bekind#learn#grow#change#blossom#cherishpeople#gratitude#inspirechange#theramblingmind#wellnesscoach#belove#beyou#wellness

👉 10 WEEKS TO GO! 😱❤
#30weekspregnant ‼ 😬🎊🎉

The saddest thing I heard about my pregnancy fit shape was:
YOU'RE JUST LUCKY!
And NO. ❌
I'm sorry to disappoint you but luck has nothing to do with it.
It's all about:
⏩ Hard physical activity and CONSEQUENT metabolism to all this 👆
And YES. ✔
Is hard shop and prep ALWAYS balanced and healthy meals, for me, my husband and my toddler.
Is hard find time to workout.
Is hard find power of WILL on lazy days,
in which you just want to drown in chocolate and fries.
But easy things don't give results, I'm sorry. 🙌
👉Envying or justifying others success is ignorant and disrespectful.
Find your own motivation and move your butt.
LOVE TO ALL 🙏😘❤
As I reflect on the amazing summer of 2017, I have one word that sums it up: GROWTH.
I am beyond grateful for my twin sister. I have always been in fairly great shape, and known how to eat healthy, but I never fully COMMITTED to this lifestyle. With my sobriety came the greatest gift: choice. I am driven to be the absolute best version of myself possible and to inspire others to do the same. It hit me when Casey stayed with me this summer that the one thing missing on my journey was complete knowledge and understanding of nutrition and balance and what I needed to eat each day. Casey is my coach- she doesn’t support me, she STRETCHES me every single day. Casey gave me all the right tools for my toolbox and I use them daily. A few take homes I want to share with you all:
- EAT EAT EAT!! Your body needs fuel! Your body can’t transform if it doesn’t have FUEL!!
- Patience: understand that is you have been eating and living a certain way for years and years, change doesn’t just happen overnight or even in 30 Days. You must trust the process. Transformation is a journey.
- You will NEVER out exercise poor eating habits.
Change is possible. I am walking and living proof. Change will happen when you become willing.
Hold your vision. Trust the process. Commit to today. .
In the world of ordinary things, few things are more ordinary than a sponge.
But what if a sponge could be joyful? What if it could make a difference? What if something so ordinary could be inspiring?
