Pointed pen AND embossing powder? Whaaaat? Okay, I'm sure everybody already knew about this before me, but I've been looking forever to find a way to using my embossing powders with my pointed pen lettering. I have a couple of embossing markers, but faux calligraphy isn't my strong suit. Then yesterday I came across @zizicalligraphy's profile, and she did it with glycerin and water! I just so happened to already have glycerin at home, so I did some experimenting and settled on roughly 2 parts water to 1 part glycerin. Then, because I couldn't see my upstrokes and was having a hard time joining letters neatly, I added just the teeeeensiest drop of watercolor ink to the solution. This is still a little messy, but I'm stoked to at least know how to do it so I can get better!
Nib: Soennecken 326
Paper: Mixed media
Ink: Custom mix of water and glycerin
Embossing powder: brand unknown, but probably Stampendous or Hampton Arts
As some of you may know, I've been trying to work on my first children's book for about 2 years now. And I am so excited to announce that the book is finally published and ready to download on Amazon Kindle!! I'm so happy and trying to not cry at the café I'm currently in. This has been a goal of mine since I was a little girl. And it wasn't easy. I don't know what else to say, but I hope you love it as much as I do. The link to the book is in my bio. And now that I checked this goal of mine off from my bucket list, I think I'm ready to work on something bigger. Maybe a chapter book? Adult fiction? We'll see. I love you all. And thank you. #DIYDaisyBook
