Azolla is considered a weed by many because of its rapid growth and ability to quickly overrun a dam, but it's actually a type of aquatic fern that is incredibly useful in many ways.
A plant that is high in amino acids, vitamins A and B12, Azolla fixes nitrogen and increases plant health.
It can be used to replenish depleted garden beds, be added to the compost and fed to chickens or farm animals.
I collected a small amount from our lake a few years ago and have been growing it without a hassle, ever since.
What I unexpectedly learned about Azolla is that the bees find it to be the perfect place to rest and have a drink. (Check out my posts #verythirstybees )
So if you happen to see some Azolla floating around, grab a handful and chuck it in a bucket of water to start growing your own nutrient rich fertiliser.
Happy digging! 😊✌💚🌱
Thank you @the_decor_adobe for the planter bowl and stand! It goes perfectly in my room... Currently put a tillandsia in it until I find just the perfect plant for it. Such a pleasure to meet you and your little girl today! 😘
Agora eu tenho hypoestes phyllostachya, mais conhecida como confete, rosinhaaa. Olha que linda esse neném ❤
Elas são originárias de Madagascar e tem em outras cores: rosa pink, branco e uma espécie de vermelho (quero todas)
