Tips for an effective Dumbbell Lunge Walk:

1️. Pay attention to form and control slow rate of movement, use light weight to guarantee 12 reps each side.
2️. Make sure knee stay behind toe.
3️. Keep upright posture.
4️. To increase time under tension lower body after step, squeeze on the bottom.
5️. Engaged core, Lowerback, Quad, Hamstring, Glute to keep good posture mid stride.
6️. Keep weight on heel of the foot.

So recently I overheard a bro telling another bro that he shouldn't be using plates under his heels when he squats.
-
A pretty silly thing to say if you ask me, as doing so can dramatically increase your range of motion and allow you to achieve full depth even if you're struggling with mobility.

I've used this tactic in my own training and also with clients. It's a handy little trick play (and I ain't talkin' about NFL)

Definitely try it out if you're struggling to get below parallel when you squat, it could be a lifesaver 😎

Bist du immer ehrlich zu dir? Oder bescheißt du dich selbst? . 
Ich möchte diese Woche wieder ein wenig produktiver für die Uni sein 🎓 Denn wenn ich ehrlich zu mir bin, war ich zwar viel in der Uni, aber effektiv gelernt, habe ich nicht 🙄 . 
Aber - ich denke, solange man das erkennt, ist nichts verloren: Denn (leider) bescheißen sich SO viele selbst und wundern sich später warum sie auf die Nase fallen! 10 Stunden in der Uni gewesen, davon aber jede Stunde 30 Minuten Kaffeepause, 2 Stunden Mensa und im Seminar mehr an anderes gedacht als an die Lehrbücher.. Daher reflektiere ich jeden Tag, was und wie viel ich wirklich geschafft habe und lasse mich von anderen nicht unter Druck setzen, wenn sie meinen sie hätten heute 8 Stunden im Seminar gesessen 📖 Du weißt nie, wie lange sie wirklich was gemacht haben . 
Deswegen: Sei immer ehrlich zu dir selbst und mach dir nichts vor 🙏🏻 #wortzummontag .

thinking lately about how lucky i am, not just for the material things (but that too). for siblings that make me laugh so hard, best friends that really know and understand me, the sweetest and most supportive boyfriend ever. i’ve been stressin HARD lately about the future and adult things (like full body stress rash sorry tmi) so i’ve gotta just stop and remember everything i do have and that everything will be ok!

#FitFoodFriday  It is possible to eat out and eat well 💁‍♀️! More and more restaurants are focusing on veggie 🥗🥦🥒rich dishes using local & fresh ingredients 🌱and high quality meats.  When choosing an entree 🍲 I typically ask for the sauce on the side since a little goes a long way and I don't like when my meals are doused, soggy, and/or too oily.. 🤷‍♀️ I may be stating the obvious here but fried foods 🍟are not only high in calories, they are also devoid of nutrients and can contain trans fats. Sticking to cooking 🍳 styles such as grilled , steamed, poached, or lightly sautéed is key.  If I'm having wine 🍷 I'll usually skip on the bread too!  Thank you @devilsisle & @villagepantrybm Bermuda for offering healthy & beautiful bowls. They are oh sooo good 😋.

TARTA DE BONIATO 🍠 *receta inspirada en @edeand 
Las cantidades varian segun el tamaño del molde. Mi base era bastante grande 30cm de diametro 🔺Para la base
-100 gr de harina de avena neutra
-6 cucharadas de aceite de coco
-50 gr de proteina de cookies
-30 gr de harina de almendras(yo molí almendras)
🔺para la masa
-500 gr de boniato asado (o al @lekuees )
-2 huevos
-100 gr de claras ( la proxima vez las montare a punto de nieve y quedara mas esponjoso, lo recomiendo)
- 70gr de proteina de vainilla
-canela
-endulzante al gusto 🔸precalentar 180° el horno.
🔸Mezclar los ingredientes secos de la base y luego añadir el aceite de coco recien derretido.
🔸amoldar la base en el molde y meterla en el horno uno 10-15 min
🔸Batir o triturar los ingredientes de la masa y añadirla a la base.
🔸meter en  horno durante unos 25-30 min. 💖🍠
Esta deliciosa, aunque ya estoy pensando en pequeños retoques y modificaciones!

Me molaron tanto los trufones de boniato de @ama.come.vive.brilla que no pude resistirme a hacerlos. Me encanta porqué Elka les llama bolones, así que yo también los hice del tamaño en consonancia al nombre. ¿Sabes porque los amarás?

ROSELLINE DI CARCIOFI RIPIENI 😋
Ingredienti (circa 4 carciofi)
• Carciofi
• Tonno al naturale (1 lattina) 🐟
• 1 Uovo 🥚
• Pangrattato
• Prezzemolo 🌿
• Cipolla rossa
• Olio e.v.o.
• Sale rosa dell’ Himalaya
• Limone 🍋 
Procedimento:
1️⃣ Per prima cosa bollire i carciofi in acqua bollente salata per renderli morbidi.
2️⃣ Preparare ora il ripieno in una ciotola, mischiando con una forchetta i seguenti ingredienti:
• Tonno 🐟
• Cipolla rossa tritata
• 1 Uovo 🥚
• Pangrattato
Insaporire poi il ripieno con del succo di limone 🍋 , del prezzemolo 🌿 ed un filo di sale rosa dell’ Himalaya.
3️⃣ Farcire il cuore dei carciofi precotti e posizionarli su una teglia con carta forno.
4️⃣ Aggiungere nella teglia un po’ d’ acqua di cottura per conservarne la morbidezza. Guarnire poi con del pangrattato ed un filo di olio e.v.o.
5️⃣ Cuocere poi in forno preriscaldato a 185 gradi 🌡 per circa 25 minuti.

Ingredients (about 4 artichokes)
• Artichokes
• Natural tuna (1 can) 🐟
• An egg 🥚
• Breadcrumbs
• Parsley 🌿
• Red onion
• E.v.o. oil
• Himalayan pink salt
• Lemon 🍋
Preparation:
1️⃣ At first, boil the artichokes in salted water to make them soft.
2️⃣ Make the filling by mixing with a fork these ingredients:
• Tuna 🐟
• Finely diced red onion
• 1 egg 🥚
• Breadcrumbs
Add flavour with some lemon juice 🍋, some parsley 🌿 and a bit of Himalayan pink salt.
3️⃣ Fill the cooked-artichokes’ core and lay them on a baking tray (over baking paper).
4️⃣ To the bottom of the tray, add some cooking water to mantein the softness of the artichokes. Then garnish the top with some breadcrumbs and a bit of e.v.o. oil.
5️⃣ Cook pre-heated oven at 185 degrees 🌡 for about 25 mins.
