Being part of a community is one of my big values in life. It’s what makes me grin from ear to ear, helps me to see the bigger picture, connect with real people, develop deep connections & friendships, give back to the earth, and spread kindness. I believe when people gather with good intentions, something magical happens - profound connection. This is what my new artwork series is based on. Photo from my explorations on connection during my Berlin Art art residency last year.
Love an artist at the gallery, but don't see the perfect piece for you in our inventory? We facilitate custom commissions from many of our artists to create the perfect piece for your home or business. Just look at this amazing site-specific installation Samantha Parker Salazar created for a client's home!
Ah, nothing like a freshly-installed work of art. Can you imagine something like this in your home? It's a small portion of a much larger installation. The client was so happy, she couldn't help but laugh! It was amazing working with her. Huge thanks to @brgalleries for connecting us, and my forever MCM and install "crew"/ladder-climbing ninja, @nec_ro_mancer .
“Wild Horse’s and Wild Ways-Secret Society 2011.
I’ve been a horsewomen since I began riding age 5. There is nothing else in the world that is quite the same to me. Throughout my life I’ve ridden and or owned every kind of horse you can imagine, from humble ponies and wise strong trail horses, western, English, Hunters and Jumpers, bareback you name it. To the High end European warmbloods, to flighty thoroughbred racehorses, and the discarded wounded ex-racehorses, the everyday warmth of the kind quarter-horse, the wild crazy polo ponies, Mexican, Costa Rican, I️Icelandic mountain horses. I love and cherish them them all and consider myself to have a gentle unspoken language with them. A few years ago I broke my neck over a jump and I’m lucky to be alive yet saddened I’m unable to ride much. This piece was part of a large show thereafter. I’m a collector of vintage toys here and there and this rare horse bike is my prize possession for multiple reasons. Never seen another one like it. Probably Steiff on an Italian Fine mechanics from perhaps 40’s. My toys often find a place in my work. This piece combined my love of nature, trees, wood, horses and wild things. Speaking to boundaries and Wild nature’s in the confines within.

Hello, I’m Here ::: On the other side of the camera, the other side of the paint brush or the other side of the cyanotype if you will. I always feel kind of funny and fabulous both when posting pictures of myself. But here I am, posing for timed selfies in my painting corner of #studio141Asheville and feeling on the more fabulous side because of my @ssekodesigns duster and my vintage green chapeau my mom gave me and being surrounded by recently completed paintings. #feelingfabulous#artistselfie
