When you are building up to a marathon, your main goal should be to arrive on the start line feeling fit and healthy. Us runners can be an obsessive bunch (no, really?) and it can take quite a lot of courage to decide to have even one rest day. It is important to rest to allow your body to recover adequately so the level of your training can be maintained. Listening to your body and allowing yourself rest in between runs will help to allow your muscles to recover and heal from physical demands. It may be hard but your body and mind will thank you for it. Take the time out to remind yourself of your end goal and remember to just listen to your body – even if you’re due for a training day.

Pembuatan jersey Timnas Indonesia akan menggunakan teknologi berkualitas.
Perwakilan Nike Indonesia, Rawindra Ditya mengatakan, jersey anyar Timnas Indonesia untuk musim depan masih berwarna merah dan putih.
Pihaknya juga sudah melakukan presentasi di depan PSSI untuk menampilkan bagaimana bentuk jersey Timnas Indonesia setelah empat tahun tidak berganti desain.
Tak hanya untuk Timnas Indonesia, Nike yang merupakan apparel asal Amerika Serikat juga mensponsori beberapa klub papan atas seperti Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, dan Inter Milan.
Pembuatan jersey tersebut, Nike selalu melakukan sistem daur ulang. "Pastinya kami akan apply teknologi dari Nike dan kami selalu menggunakan teknologi daur ulang," kata Rawindra Ditya di Cikarang, Jawa Barat.

Ia hanya mengatakan desain tersebut tidak mengalami perubahan yang maksimal dari sebelumnya. "Tidak menutup kemungkinan untuk itu (jersey klasik), tapi kemarin kan empat tahun tidak ganti model, jadi kami berpikir kenapa tidak membuatkan desain yang baru," ucap Rawindra Ditya.

It’s been a busy little Friday. No school or work for us girls today. Started the day with a run, then mani/pedis, grocery shopping, basketball practice, dinner, starting to put the Christmas tree up, and cookie baking. I’m exhausted but wouldn’t change it for the world. Happy Friday!

El senderismo es contemplación, paz y alta ingesta de señales visuales y táctiles.
El trailrunning es introspección, emoción, y alta ingesta de señales propioceptivas y musculares.
Son dos facetas distintas y complementarias que tengo la dicha de realizar con grupos de personas distintos pero en el mismo medio natural.

Today has felt like the longest day of my life, after having an incredible challenging week. I’ve never felt so happy to see the weekend come and been ready to hit the reset button like I’m going to do this weekend. Looking forward to enjoying the week in California by the beach, relaxing with my boys, visiting family and friends and of course, my runs along the coast. A little time for reflection today. This marks the 8 year anniversary of the car accident that changed my life. In that time I have had less than 20 days total that I haven’t had back/neck pain and have spent countless thousands of dollars trying to heal it. Honestly, not much has worked.
I also like to think about all I’ve accomplished over that time. Ive completed more than 20 races including 4 marathons, a triathlon and a fondo. Not to mention changing careers and finding my soon to be wife- life is good. And with 2018 a stones throw away it’s shaping up to be my best year yet!! I’ve learned over the decade of my 20’s up to and including 33 that resiliency is the key to life. There’s always unforeseen shit you’re going to have to deal with but.. how are you going to deal with it?
Plenty of people choose to fold when faced against a really hard situation. Take it from me, keep fighting and WORKING because something really amazing might be right over the horizon.

One thing about moving some of my workouts indoors- it makes cool photos a little harder. “Here’s another pic of me in front of the gym mirrors, trying to make my booty pop and flex every muscle!” I don’t do cute at the gym. It’s hard enough to do in my every day life.
So here’s an #FBF to my November trip back to BC in 2015 out running on our trail system. Great run (I was at a gorgeous scenic view point here) but taught me the importance of carrying a cell phone when traipsing around the woods with no one around for miles. Getting lost on the way back wasn’t much fun, but it was a good learning experience. Safe to say I did not repeat my mistakes when I went back in 2016.
Today at the gym: hour rolling hill on the bike, 5k tempo run, 20 minutes core. Consider my ass kicked.
