When the most important job is nursing the poorly human 🐾
This is the Loch of Loirston! It is located in the south of Aberdeen, next to a suburb called Cove Bay (less than 5 miles from the city centre)! What can I say, it's not quite Loch Ness or Loch Lomond, but nonetheless, it's a beautiful wee loch in its own right! It sits adjacent to a nice farm and nature reserve, and is frequented by anglers who mainly fish for trout! In addition, a whole host of different species of birds and waterfowl (ducks, swans, geese etc.) regularly splash around in the loch's cold waters!
So since we are speaking about a loch here, have any of you visited any of Scotland's glorious lochs (I'm sure many of you have)? And if so, do you have a favourite? Feel free to let me know in the comments - I'd be curious to know!
