Ready and able to discover everything that life has to offer.
I’m usually very ashamed when people tell me I’m doing ‘a Good job keeping it together’. On one hand because it implies that appearently you can tell that I’m struggling. On the other hand because I am my worst own critic! I was pushing towards this one goal for years and I failed. And when I found myself in the midst of disappointment, I realized there are many roads to wonder of about. •
I might have wasted some time this year, but it has led me to this moment. The moment where I now understand that nothing is lost. Goals can be adjusted. Plans can change. And I have a million different ways to develop myself.
I am not going to make this about New Years resolutions. But about constant motivation to yourself. To be your own kind voice that whispers in your ears ‘one more mile’. To be the arms you are missing so deeply for years and years now to keep yourself together. And to bravely look at your fearful self in the mirror and convince you that you got this ;-) •
Nothing is ever lost. And nothing is ever wasted. Everything that you go through will one day help you. I know it! I feel I! I believe it!
“One morning as I was photographing Atlantic Puffins on a remote island in Scotland, the skies clouded over and it started raining. Soon it was pouring and the wind was blowing the water right into my lens. While rain can be discouraging, I think it offers an opportunity for some diversity of shots. The birds kept coming back from the sea with mouths full of fish. They kept on working, and so did I. I was soaked, but so were the puffins.“
