Do you have a "must visit" château in Bordeaux? High up on my list is Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe with its architecturally distinct pagoda roofs, and beautiful Cabernet based wines from gravelly soils on the Left Bank. This '01 was just singing with glorious cedar-inflected dark red fruit and velvety tannins. Good to the last drop - even the one that dripped down the label.
I wanna recommend to you a nice wine #enolovers 😍😍🍾🍾
I’ve tasted it yesterday evening, it’s a Franciacorta from Moraschi 2012 pas dosè, it’s a small production, but very high quality product, super fresh and pleasant, straight like a sword without compromises, let’s try it my friends 😉😉🇮🇹🇮🇹🥂🥂

Celebrating 19 years as a couple with my wife tonight (we got together when we were 19) and toasting with this gorgeous Champagne from Champagne Gosset. ————
See profile link for my Top 10 Wines of the Year ... ‘98 Gosset Celebris came in at No. 1 🥂🇫🇷
Trying a couple of Faustino’s tonight. The 2001 was beautiful; cedar, tobacco and dark cherry on the nose. Tannins are fully resolved, the fruit really shines through on the long finish. The colour of the 1987 was noticeably faded to a light brown colour, the nose smelled like raisins, I was hoping it would blow off but even after a few hours there was nothing else going on. The finish was short with drying tannins. This was my only bottle so I don’t have another one to compare. #faustino#spanishwine#winelover#wine#wineo#instawine#rioja#grandriserva#tempranillo#redwine
Gritty fig, rubber band and new carpet. Plum pudding and those strips of pie-crust trimmings your mother sprinkled cinnamon and coarse sugar on and baked. Tasting it is like being licked by your favorite cat.
I get accused on a fairly regular basis of having a "California palate". Of course 99% of the time it is by people in Oregon and Washington who makes shitty wine. But if that is the case--if I truly have developed a California palate--why do I like Beaujolais Nouveau more and more the older I get? I used to hate it and roll my eyes at it and make fun of it like everybody does. It's an easy joke. But I find myself more and more really appreciating it. Maybe I'm just drinking better quality Beaujolais Nouveau. I can remember one last year that blew me away and this one is just stupid good. This is literally one of those wines which ridiculously blur the line between Nouveau and Cru.
Wow. The legendary 2015 G-Max from @kellerdalsheim. My first ever. Already some kerosene on the nose. And some residual sugar on the palate. Very primary fruit profile, something like fruits which are just starting to ripen. Calm, composed and very Zen. Feels like Romanee-Conti and Petrus. Wines which are intellectual rather than showy.
