☝🏼 this quote has gotten me through the month. Many times I’ve felt like giving up on our goals and just living a “safe & conventional” life. Then I have to remember this quote and take it as a sign that I’m doing something right 💪🏼

Today I wrote words for one client in a delightfully quiet, clean library. Then bought a used novel by George Elliot and a book by botanists who talk to trees, and borrowed Sherry Turkle’s Reclaiming Conversation (so excited to read). I crossed the street to this coffee shop to write more words for a different client, noshing on gluten-free pastry I dipped in a massive Americano. Making a living as a freelance writer isn’t easy. And then one day I met a girl who talked about the world as if she's lived a thousand lives,
and she saw things in such a different way,
I started wondering if everything I knew was just plain lies.
With the wonder of a child, she was always curious and questioning,
The phrase "curiosity killed the cat" took a new meaning.
When people told her things she didn't wanna hear,
It made her heart broken in half,
So I ended up holding her and picking up the pieces,
Making her smile and often laugh.
She brought out a passion in me that
no one knew I had,
And she made me feel something I otherwise never would have felt.
she hid her face when I caught her with her hair tied up and no makeup,
My voice caught in my throat,
because she looked like the most
beautiful woman in the entire world.
Sometimes she acts a little crazy and ignites a fire in my bones,
That burns so bad,
it makes me want to run for my life.
But my heart says just "Don't". Follow my writings on @YourQuote.in #yourquote#quote#stories#ttt#qotd#quoteoftheday#wordporn#quotestagram#wordswag#wordsofwisdom#inspirationalquotes#writeaway#thoughts#poetry#instawriters#writersofinstagram#writersofig#writersofindia#igwriters#igwritersclub
He is brave like him, with kind eyes and a devilish grin.
Bold like me with his persuasive force and sassy lips.
He remembers things we both wish he’d forget.
Like, where liars go and that one bad word that slips out when he stubs his toe.
His wit is quick and keeps us laughing even when life feels miserable.
He asks him about his muscles,
And tells me I’m perfect when I’m not.
He has his countdown,
He is Christmas morning, everyday of the year.
