Shrimp, broccoli and coconut aminos for dinner tonight. Since I started lifting I've been experimenting with weekly carb ups (replacing fat with low sugar carbs, not doing both cuz let's be real - that's the standard American diet). I started it mostly since it literally makes my rash vanish and I know I'm burning more calories with working out. Plus, I'm fine with gaining some weight to grow a 🍑. 😁 I tried carb ups last year and was so hungry, but I think my body had more healing to do and I hadn't mentally prepared myself since I had just gotten #keto down pat. Now that I've been keto a year and a half, I have different goals than losing weight. I know that I have more of an appetite the day after carbing up, but I switch right back to keto. I also know it's a slippery slope for me with sugary carbs, so I make sure to have ones that I'm not going to binge on. Mostly posting this here for my own learning experience to look back and see what works or doesn't work for me and for anyone thinking about doing carb ups.

Last night I was craving Chipotle again really badly and dealt with it. I unfortunately couldn't today. I went up there and bought another one. I bought some extra romaine, cherry tomatoes and some canned olives. Big mistake! The olives were gross, after eating 5 I was totally grossed out. Obviously canned isn't quite fresh. 🤢The whole salad then tasted bad. I literally went up there thinking I would get Chipotle twice a week for dinner and now I'm so grossed out by the thought of even having anymore now. 🤔Anyone ever get that way with something they love?? Man, I got that way with my smoothie this morning. I love them so much but for some reason today I wasn't feeling it like I was yesterday morning. This is happening all throughout my raw vegan journey. It's quite frustrating. I can see why very few people are enthused about joining me, lol. I guess it's gonna be a real struggle considering I went vegan literally overnight and then fully raw overnight 2 wks later. Cooked food smells still get me. So don't mind me when I get this way. Hoping it's just normal. I should be fine waking up and going back to smoothies tomorrow. Think I'll start eating whole fruits again. Get what's in season to give me some variety here. Gotta do whatever it takes to keep me strong. 💪🏼

I am still alive. I'm still here. I'm playing around with IF at the moment and I have to say, it has been kicking my ass. I have had to admit to myself that it may not be worth the pay off. I am finally, finally losing weight - 2kg last week, 7 kg in 4 weeks. But I am lethargic, I'm flat in mood, and I don't have enough motivation to workout. I've been fasting for 48 hours, eating a day, fasting 48 and I think I need to lessen the fasting slot and also ensure that I'm eating well in the eating window - not just carbs! I'm testing the waters and it's getting a little choppy, so it's time to dial it back a notch and remember that mental health is more important than a number on a scale.

Nos han vendido que hacer dieta para bajar de peso es muy difícil 👎🏽, o que se necesita saber mucho o ser nutrisionista 🤓para lograrlo, o peor aún que debemos eliminar por completo un macronutriente esencial de la dieta como lo son los carbohidratos🍚 y/o las grasa🥓....PERO NO❌. Con tan solo simples cambios de escoger otra tipo de Granola diferente; IGUAL DE DELICIOSA 🤤, estaríamos bajando 50 calorías y 5g de azúcar por porción‼️ Y es que SI✅ es posible perder grasa y comer cosas delisiosas 🍔 🍦 siguiendo un estilo de vida como la #dietaflexible (si no conoces de esta, tengo un post donde la explicó).

Max effort lower, i hit up some wide stance box squats, trying to build these hamstrings up! This was 200kg/440lbs for a fairly easy heavy single. I managed 180kg/396lbs for a triple just before, quite happy with this squats always take a bit when I'm  losing weight.

Is INTERMITTENT FASTING beneficial?!?
All Intermittent fasting is is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. There are many ways to accomplish this and I will list a couple of them below. ⬇️
FASTING METHODS
- 16/8 method: (Leangains protocol) Fast for 16 hours each day, eat for 8. Essentially, you don’t eat anything after dinner(8pm), and you skip breakfast; usually eating your 1st meal of the day at noon or shortly after.
- 5:2 diet method: (fast diet) Involves eating normal for 5 days/week; while restricting calories to 500-600/day on two days of the week.
There are several more fasting methods, with (in my opinion) the 16/8 being the simplest method. If you struggle to stay consistent with a diet plan, or find yourself constantly in a caloric surplus and want to try those LEAN gains or LOSE the pounds, this is definitely a good option. Here’s the data:

THE DATA
- In a review study published by the Journal of Endocrinology in 2014, it was shown to cause weight loss of 3-8% over 3-24 weeks.
- Another study published in the Journal of Endocrinology also showed intermittent fasting to increase metabolic rates up to 14%
HOW IS THIS BENEFICIAL
Well, obviously it restricts calories if you’re only able to eat 8 hours during the day (16/8) or with the 5/2 method; two days a week you are only eating 500-600 cals. So your body is in a catabolic state for longer periods of time (aka fat burn mode) 👍 but it also helps jolt your metabolism. And⬇️
- increase metabolic rates
- Lower blood insulin levels
- Cellular Repair etc...

Dbl at the gym today with 🏋🏼‍♀️ this morning and 🥊 this evening.. so hungry when I get home I demolished some coconut 🌴 yoghurt and some Seeded Crackers with cream cheese and vegemite before I even started cooking. Antes de o pessoal técnico me crucifique, eu chamo isso de 'terra feio', onde o objetivo é dar uma maior ênfase nos eretores espinhas, lombar, romboides e trapézio. Nesse movimento há uma discreta flexão/extensão de tronco, e tbm leve adução/abdução de escapulas.

Para fazer misture tudo em uma caneca, leve ao microondas por cerca de 3 minutos. Tire e se delicie!
