@Regrann from @robsfootsteps - The SAFDIE BROTHERS talk about Rob and GOOD TIME to SCREEN DAILY.
BENNY: I have so much respect for how deep he went, the places he went, the people he met, just his level of commitment, 16 hours a day, he was willing to do whatever. It was cold, I was playing the brother in a wheelchair, and we said to him ‘we don’t need you for this shot’, but he would stay and push me around in the cold. He said: “I need that, to take it that far”. He went above and beyond.
JOSH: We brought Rob to a lot of active jails. He turned up in character in the hope that he inmates wouldn’t recognise him as a movie star. We pushed our start date on purpose in an effort to buy more prep time and I would say there was three to four months of character prep for him, which is a lot for a movie star in his career.
JOSH: If you were to show the film to someone who has no idea who Robert Pattinson is, they would just assume that we found this guy. The only performances that I could liken what he did would be to an Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon or Tommy Lee Jones in The Executioner’s Song or Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver. I’m mentioning icons of my filmic mind. This is what people will liken this to, it’s a transformation. Personally for him he wanted to disappear. When he was fully in character, in costume, in make-up and when he knew his voice, he would just take a walk around the neighbourhood, simply because normally he can’t do that. He would walk into a pharmacy and buy a Coca Cola and no-one would say anything to him or look at him, or take a picture of him, and that’s how he knew he had the character down.

Khalil got discovered after posting song covers on Youtube when he was 13 years old. Not too long after, he got signed to Def Jam Records and became close friends with soon-to-be international pop icon @justinbieber. In 2016, Khalil has set out to redefine his music career with a new focus on writing his own material. Khalil talks to us about his upbringing and how his experience in the foster care system parallels to the music industry. We talked about his influences and what he learned about fame from Justin Bieber. Below is an excerpt from our talk, follow the link in our bio to hear more.
Khalil: Patience is one of the hardest things to manage, especially as an artist because you just want to be heard, you just want to get that message out there. You just want people to hear your message and you just want to be a light. So trying to balance that patience is when things get crazy…. but I feel like that's what makes or breaks an artist, when they go through the trials and tribulations... If you look at the blueprint of how an artist came into the game, you'll see that every artist who stuck through it are the ones to prevail in the end. Some people have crazy stories of stuff they go through before and some people don't. So I feel like sometimes there's a path you have to go through to learn.
One of the best parts about making videos is the people you get to meet and interview. Most recently I enjoyed my time with players and coaches from @babsonathletics. Recruiting videos for their programs are in the works! Courtesy of @eclips_productions. #babson#athletics#interview#gobabo#rollbeav#eclipsproductions

Dissecting Winnipeg's inferiority complex: Owning our power and supporting each other w/ Natalie bell & Reno Winston
Wonderful Winnipeg! One amazing and ever growing city! Winnipeg has become known for its arts, films, restaurants, and devotion to creating better communities, but there is just one problem.
We have so many amazing people who are putting on events, conducting workshops, classes etc. and are either going unrecognized or unsupported....or perhaps, misunderstood.
So, why is that?
Meet two people I know love Winnipeg and are repeat guests, @pegcitylovely and @itjustgotreno
Natalie is a local blogger of the blog Peg City Lovely and Reno Winston is a life coach, local media mogoal, and stylist.
Join Natalie, Reno and I, as we dissect why so many Winnipeger's still believe that Winnipeg is "boring," and why we constantly compare ourselves to other Canadian cities, such as Toronto or Vancouver, when in fact, if you really stepped outside your comfort zone, you would see our city is just as exciting and innovative.
I also invite you to get strated on getting yourself out there, learning about different communities, so that we can begin to kick our inferiority complex to the crib!
So how can you get started?
1. Live your life like a Tourist. Get out there, explore your city!
2. Collobrate to elevate. Collobrate with like minded people, who are doing amazing thing.
3. Start a movement or blog. It only costs $20 to start a website.
4. Join Communities. Its so important that we learn about the diversity our city has to offer.
5. Lastly, share EVENTS! If you see an event that you think your people would enjoy, SHARE IT!
