Honestly I wouldn't even blame you. I still can't squat without pain and as soon as I start to stack weight in the leg press I also come across pain.

@StanEfferding recently spoke about a time when he had a hip injury and how he would load up a leg press with bands so that the weight loosens off in the hole where the hip is impinged and then multiplies as you press.

10/10 would recommend even if you don't have hip issues.

I did some overhead work with a 10” log and a 2” axle bar and it felt great. Finished up with some side and rear delt accessories for more blood flow. Best workout I’ve had in a while, felt strong and the pump was real

Fase de probar, probar nuevas técnicas (que ya tengo claro todas) para buscar la idónea para mi, fase de hipertrofia y fase de bajar bien la sentadilla, gracias al trabajo diario de movilidad.

Poco a poco, muy contento a pesar de la definición, a aguantar las marcas, intentar mejorarlas y reventar en la fase de volumen.

Hit EZ 4s @ 227.5kg on squats, but my camera fell over, so it basically didn’t happen, some 7s @ 182.5kg followed. EZPZ 4s @ 125kg on bench, which felt better as they went along; shoulder/trap is feeling better by the day, so let’s hope it feels good for some last singles and 5s tomorrow. Then some singles on deadlifts, up to around a last warm up @ 300kg.

Hit a nice PB on the paused tempo squats with dangling weights (5x110kgs) and after that went for block pulls. I was pretty damn destroyed, as you can tell. However, went for a little bit of very light cardio after this because incline treadmill walks just really feel good for recovery. For now it's time to eat allllll the meat and veggies, and go to bed early after a steaming hot shower!

3 months off, 19 Lbs. down. I decided to test my deadlift 1RM. I lost a good amount of strength. Not happy with how shaky 515 Lbs. was, and that I wasn’t capable of more. There’s work to do. •

7 weeks out from NorCal Strongest.  First strongman competition.  This is something I’ve wanted to do for the longest time even before powerlifting.  Just never had access to implements till recently.

Since I have little time I’m just gonna get as much practice with the implements/events as I can.  I also need to improve my overhead strength as much as I can and also work on my conditioning.

Zercher yolk carry
5x1 @ empty yolk
(Go as far as I can in 10 seconds)
These totally wrecked my biceps lol.
Frame Carry
5x1 @ 4 plates total
(Back and forth)
Will be increasing a set per week and adding weight gradually, same goes for the Zercher Carry.

Keg to low blocks
4x3 @ unknown weight
Plan is to add sets and increase height of blocks gradually in the upcoming weeks.

Man my biceps are toast after today lol.  Weights for the events aren’t posted yet sow I will start light and gradually increase weight.

Main goal is to build work capacity for the events and get as used to them as I can in the next 3 weeks.  The last 3 to 4 weeks I will really push the intensity.  But for now it’s simply learning how to be strong and move fast at the same time.
