I've been craving choc chip cookies lately so today I took a break and baked some with @iquitsugar recipe. It would've been easier and quicker to pop down to Coles and get some but theirs have sooo much sugar 🙄 and I had everything here to make them and needed a study break. Once this assignment is finished I'll have time to get back into cooking and exercising and I cannot wait 👌🏼🔥#iquitsugar#iquitsugarrecipe#unilife#food#foodporn

Okay so I wasn’t sure about this one but when I looked at my favourite treats of 2017 I noticed I’m really into strawberry hahhaa 🍓. So thought why not try something different! I didn’t mind this one but the salted caramel flavour definitely wins in these little puds. It was quite yummy but the consistency was a little weird and I found the flavour a little hmmm not quite right? It’s like yogurt but more gooey. Give it a go and tell me your thoughts!
Live with people who share your love for smashed avo... Late lunch after a day of clearing and packing up our house - smashed avo, red onion, cherry tomatoes with lemon juice topped on some delllllllish bread & drizzled with a balsamic glaze 🙌🏼
I guess it really doesn’t come as a surprise to you all that I just love Blue Curaçao! It looks fabulous and I just 💙 how it pairs with tequila! I have mixed up a very simple cocktail that makes me just want to dive right into the ocean! .
30mls @patron Silver
30mls Blue Curaçao
50mls freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for around one minute. Double strain into your favourite cocktail glass and garnish with blue flowers. 💙
Doesn't look like much but it tastes fantastic. I have been working hard to eliminate sugar in all its forms to reset my eating habits and I've missed stir fry sauce in all its sugary glory. Well! this mess is sugar and carb free and is every bit as satisfying as chowmein 😃😎😊 #nomnom#sugardetox#iquitsugar#coconutsapforthewin

EAT THE RAINBOW! 🌈🥕🌟 This was last nights dinner and it was so delicious and easy! I made @gkstories broccoli flatbreads and made sandwiches with carrot slaw and beetroot hummus in between 🥕🥙 When you eat food in its natural form it is so colourful and simple!
Did that get your attention? Yes? Great. Now we can talk about Broccoli Sprouts.
Look, I know sprouts are not decadent or particularly pretty- and they are as hippie as a food can be- but I’d like to share what I consider to be one of the singe best nutritional powerhouses you can incorporate into your diet.
It’s a miracle compound found in raw cruciferous vegetables, though very BEST source of sulforaphane exists in broccoli sprouts.
Still with me? Yay! Let’s keep going!
Sulforaphane activates protective and detoxifying mechanisms in the cells, allowing them to eliminate environmental toxins. This then allows the cells to heal from oxidative damage.
A regular consumption of broccoli sprouts has been shown to prevent the growth of many cancers (including breast, prostate, colon, skin, lung, stomach, and bladder), reduces risk of common diseases like diabetes, heart disease, gastric, neurodegenerative, ocular, and respiratory diseases.
Even behavioral disorders like autism have been helped with sulforaphane supplementation.
And if that isn’t enough, sulforaphane has been shown in studies to decrease fat gain and improve body composition.
Interested in all of that amazingness?? I am too.
Broccoli sprouts are so easy to incorporate into your day- I love tossing them on a salad or in a wrap.
My favorite way is to dress them with a little olive oil and sea salt and top a half an avocado with them.
Broccoli sprouts are easy to find in most health markets- but make sure you buy them super fresh and they must be organic, BUT… the best way to obtain broccoli sprouts is to sprout them yourself!
Would anybody be interested in an instagram sprouting demo? It’s so easy, they are way less costly, you control the freshness, and what’s great is that you can constantly have them on hand when you sprout yourself!
I’m happy to demo if there is interest, and I haven’t lost you all by now! 😴😂
OK, back to dreaming about chocolate. Mmmmm…
Sausage and Cabbage Skillet 😍🌶🤤 @lovelyravisings and I are going to Germany 🇩🇪 in a few months, and I cannot stop thinking about German food...especially sausage! So today, I’m going to eat this big bowl of healthy goodness, smothered in sauerkraut and mustard. Might even add some jalapeños, if I’m feeling sassy 💁♀️ 😬 recipe below! ⬇️
Quitting sugar was the biggest step forward in my making me happier, healthier and pain free. It “cured” my arthritis pain (the damage is still there, but I’m now pain free). @_sarahwilson_ @iquitsugar literally changed my life. Fact. #painfree#iquitsugar#whole30#foodasmedicine
I’ve written, preached, stood up on my sugar-free soap box for years sharing the benefits of cutting sugar out of your diet...
But in all honestly, we’ve all been there where chocolate and/or sugar are exactly the right things when we are in a funk, PMS, breakup or shit just hits the fan. The chemical signatures that sugar produced in the brain light up the same parts as cocaine… (leave you with that one for a second).
What I've learned from my own and clients sugar addictions is that there’s actually sweetness missing elsewhere in your life.
In order to fill that void or negative emotion that you are avoiding, you need to seek the sugar elsewhere. I know this isn’t a huge dramatic breakthrough but it really can be when you take a second to be present with yourself and do a joy or sweetness life audit...
