You've known it for years, known it all along. It was never about the attention or the trophies. It was never about being validated by an audience or changing the minds of naysayers. When it is all said and done, it was always for you. An unflinching iconoclast. It was always about how far you could push yourself and in the process, find who you were and what you were made of.
In a follow up to my last post on stages of fat loss ,here's a non filtered pic of my current condition with 7kg weight gain through reverse diet .
Reverse dieting is so important as I'm sure all of you that are coming away from the strict prep diet are discovering as the body has had a massive weight/fat loss through a restricted diet so it's only natural that as soon as you start your binging on the treats you missed so much after the show that your digestive system will not be able to handle the drastic change of food types with the massive increase in sugars and carbs causing your abdomen to bloat and swelling&water retention around your joints which can be dangerous if not managed with a controlled reverse diet to allow the body to regulate itself and return to normal daily function
I have only this year after 5 competitions and got the reverse diet correct well 80% which is good enough as I'm only human as well 😊
I did fall off the wagon initially for 3 days but corrected my food intake with healthier tasty choices that were not calorie dense and full of nutrition
Initially I gained 10kg in 48hours through incorrect foods and approx 8 lbs of water retention but once I made the appropriate changes in diet my body returned to a heathier weight of 95kgs which is about 3 kgs off my normal weight which is we're I'm currently at in this pic
Nice and full again and feeling great with strength
Training was Back at 5 sessions per week with cardio to keep everything flowing through the body & help the detox proceedings from such a stressful prep on the body
I do think that the diet reversal is such a hard thing for anyone to control when they are unaware of the massive struggle post show when most prep coaches will have walked away and not given thier clients the appropriate info to help them to return to normal living without the massive pit fall of excessive weight gain and in a lot of cases eating disorders as people need to realise your body does not want to be at such a low body fat and it's impossible to stay that lean so be sensible and do the right thing ,get the pics and let it go and enjoy a full balanced diet & smile again 😁rant over. 👍😁😁😁😁
I always say people I work with: they should take WHAT IF out from they vocabulary.
I have seen too many WHAT IF around me in my short life. And that is sad. Especially in this sport.
This sport its really like a million closed doors. You open one, and here it is in a front of you another one, and after this one another one, and another one... And it goes on and on and on. And the saddest part is that people get tired or get disappointed in the road they chosen. I wrote before, this sport is not for everyone. And that's a fact.
For some really its a Gods given gift. Which everything comes easy. But in the end they dont have passion for this sport. And on the other hand we have others who work they asses off, and things come hard, and they quit before anything happens. And there is another group of people who actually have what it takes, but they over do everything, diets training, you name it. And in the end again they go nowhere, but it seems that running like a mouse in the circle.
And then there are those who learn, strive, reach and get it. Those who dont think WHAT IF. But HOW
Let me tell you ladies and gents, this sport is like never ending book. You can't think that something you know will get you to the end zone. Trust me it will not.
Every day you need to learn something new, every day you need to try something new. Every day you open new door. And then just keep on opening.
So keep on learning, keep on growing, because there is A LOT to learn and A LOT to grow.
And make your book the biggest one.

This was to date my hardest of days of comp as standard of athelete in masters gets better every year
Always great to compete on Nabba stage ,a must for any competitor 👏
We all know somebody who had said that I want a body like this. But very small amount of people who actually work for a body they want to have.
But when you meet someone who has a passion for the sport and will do whatever it takes to get that body, this will happen, and happen in a matter of a very short time.
And I had a blast working with my client @ms_griff_ for 2017 season, who knew what she wanted and was be able to do what ever it takes to change her life and body in a matter of one year.
But I always say if you dont see it its hard to accomplish something you going after.
Our job as coaches is make sure that what ever we do, it makes sense not only to us, but most importantly to our clients.
Like I say, we sell air. But only later on it becomes a trust, which will turn in self believe. And once client sees the changes, and the trust and bond becomes strong, the progress becomes so much more fun and so much easier.
The doubts dissapare, and everything else becomes confidence. And once your mind let it go of all self doubt, you body responds to what you do. You body gives you back what you working for.
For some it will sound silly, but trust me when I say, its all starts in your head.
And Charlotte is a perfect example of what is possible when all of those things become one.
Dreams become work, and work you put in let you harvest the fruits of success.
Looking back on just 1 week ago and I am extremely proud of myself and the improved condition & muscle development 💪I brought to the Nabba & Ribbf in 2017
I have made good progress each year which is all anyone can do or hope for so for me I returned to what I love "Training" straight away on Monday morning this week to start the rebuild for the future ?
