Today’s lifts (not in order cos first snatch was ug!) I went 51 ✅ 53 ✅ 55 ✅ and 58 ✅ 60 ❌ (press out) and 62 ❌ 113 total 🎉 Clean and jerk tekkers were cringe but hey didn’t bomb out and 6kg PB on my total since my first meet 2 months ago. Thanks to Pete, Ibb and everyone at @mygym_bristol for hosting/organising and thanks to all that came down or well-wished, it was very much appreciated 🙌❤️

A lot of traditional rowers will not like this, but I don’t give a shit 💩😂

🔥First of all like any exercise if you want to improve your technique you need to practice at light weight/low intensity to get it right first. That’s why I did this today during a low intensity, easy pace workout. 🙌🏼

👀 Watch my video and how my technique changes, I really think this is a useful technique for anyone doing any type of workouts where you Row and then get off & do other exercises, think CrossFit/Functional Fitness/Whatever ya wanna call conditioning.

🤔WHY?? You can see that sometimes I’m bending my legs less & using my upper body more.....then towards the end I’m doing the opposite. So if I knew I had to get off and do lots of lower body exercises I would use my upper body more rowing.....and vice versa.

⚡️Of course you should be injury free & have very good normal rowing technique before you even attempt this stuff. And even then it’s not essential just something to play around with. I really only use it when my legs or arms are like jelly😱during a workout & I still have more to do. #rowing
