This is one of my smaller paintings measuring only 40x60cm! Resin tends to lend itself well to small pieces, working small gives me more time to manipulate the resin until it starts setting, big paintings are tough work!!

♡ No 1 on my list today is to make these earrings. Thanks to some lovely people for their patience. I will have the last of the orders I received whilst I was camping in Iceland in the post today. INNER ISLAND customers are the nicest. ♡
Good morning my dears 🤗
Wishing you a fantastic Friday! ✨🎉 Here's a sneak peak into my studio and some recent projects in progress. I've had the studio a couple months now, still not fully moved in yet (so much material) but it's a work in progress itself ➡➡➡
I'd been dreaming of my own work space for some time, after reaching a bit of a stagnant stage working from home. Don't get me wrong, that is full of benefits too, especially being a "single" stay at home mum, with limited work hours... But I was finding it increasingly harder to focus and not get distracted by housework... Not to mention the fact my spare room was just too small, and I'd ended up spreading out across the whole house, often using the kitchen table, and the coffee table in the living room. Being all over the place, wasn't good for my head either.
So I decided to take that nerve wracking leap, bite the bullet, and rent a second space... I'm loving it, and feel so thankful! I feel so inspired and relieved walking in. I really appreciate the feeling of actually "going to work"... The lighting is fab, the atmosphere is calm, and I can spread out and make a bit of a mess, shut the door when I'm done, and return to my own little world again at the next opportunity. It feels so much more professional for meetings and consultations too, I felt a bit uncomfortable inviting clients to my house.
I'm slightly concerned now that the summer holidays have begun and work hours are more limited... but I'm determined to keep making it work, and so grateful for any help I get.
Dream big and follow your heart! It's never too late, you can choose the life you want 💜
Are you or have you been in a similar situation? I'd love to hear your story!!
Fab shot of the @eadachbysaraoneill Queen Medb long silk dress on the beaut @lisakav_ (we had another outfit all sorted but this was just too dreamy on her so we HAD to swap 😍) at the fab Arthur Cox Fashion Showcase last month. So how's life with you all this evening? Hope your day went to plan for you all? I kept the head down again today, working hard. July is looking like it's going to be pretty epic, so there's no time to waste. As well as the upcoming @creativemakersgalway pop up shop happening from 17th to 30th of July in the Cornstore in Galway city, we'll also be in the Made In Galway marquee at the Galway Garden Festival in Claregalway on July 1st and 2nd. We've done this event for the last few years and it's always such a lovely one to do.
I'll be posting more details on all the July events over the next couple of weeks, so keep watching 😊😊
#TBT 2006, the gorgeous Martha Christie. This was in the early days of experimenting with colour. It was a bit like an explosion in a paint factory, with colours being mixed & matched. The brighter the better! Once we started doing this, the genie was out of the bottle, our customers loved colour... they just couldn't get enough 🤔🤔🤔
