AP Fitness is now up and running 😀 Absolutely delighted I can now offer 1 to 1 and online Personal Training to everyone! I thought for my first post I’d give you all a little info on my own ‘fitness journey’ so far. Up until 4 years ago I had never enjoyed fitness. I didn’t liking running, jogging or even walking! Being quite idle mixed with eating basically whatever I liked, it ended up in me gaining a lot of weight from a very young age. At age 16, I was size 20 in jeans and was very uncomfortable in my own skin For a very long time, instead of doing anything about it I just wore bigger clothes and ate more. I changed nothing.. However, when I moved away from home to a place where I knew nobody, I decided to join the local leisure centre to start swimming in the evening (really to combat loneliness) 😭 After a while, I started attending some fitness classes and decided to pluck up the courage to have a peak in the gym. I didn’t have a clue!!! Not a notion where to even start! Should I go on the exercise bike? How long should I walk on the treadmill? What do I do with these 5kg dumbells? I started googling what to do, how to resistance train and just ‘made up’ my own workouts. In 4 years I have lost 6 stone, going from 15 to 9 stone. The more I got to know people in gyms I joined, the more I learnt and my LOVE for fitness and how it positively change my lifestyle grew 💪 I decided last November to take the plunge and study to become a Personal Trainer. Needless to say, I of all people know how daunting and challenging it can be to change yourself for the better on your own. Four years ago I was 16 stone, unhappy with my appearance and quality of life. I made a lifestyle change on my own..and it was tough!! I don't want people to go through the situation I did. So here I am, wanting to help people to create a more confident, better version of themselves!
