You versus you! Every single day.....
As soon as you begin to understand that your sole focus should be on your own progress and your own fitness journey, you will soon be on your way to reaching your goals.
In the past I looked at others and compared myself to them. I lost sight of my own progress.
It's so easy to get bogged down on what others are doing.
Now I view my competition as myself. Always trying to get better, stronger, fitter or whatever it may be.
So don't worry about what others are doing.
Improve yourself daily and focus your attention on your own life and progress.💪
First leg session back after the holidays, felt great to get back into the swing of things! A tough couple of months ahead in terms of training but I’m excited for it and looking forward to pushing myself as much as I can!
Hockey and the gym are keeping me sane these days. I've been channelling my heartbreak into getting fitter, improving my strength and losing some weight. Results are coming but I've a long way to go yet. I'm definitely starting to feel the benefits of all my hardwork out on the pitch but my heart has a tougher journey to travel. I will get there.
No matter what life throws at you, keep going. Cry when you need to cry, laugh and smile when you can and know that one day, some day, things will be that little bit easier to bare.
Shout out to @tkhockeyuk for my sponsorship this season.

Lack of Motivation?
Realistically nobody is going to be motivated 24/7 and that is the truth. It can be high and then it can be low. We are all human. I can lack in these things just like anyone else. Tough days or months can happen: It can be for a number of reasons that prevent us from training at our desired level.
However if you are lacking motivation, you need to realise our environment may not always be right to train at 100% whether it may injury, stress or lack of time. It's how you deal with the setbacks is key. The way we get back on track and overcome the blips can make the difference in you achieving your goals or not.⠀
So if you are not 100% motivated at some point, realise that majority of people go through the same feelings. Just do your best to get back on it and keep the momentum going. You do not want to undo all the hard work you done so far. Even if it is a bit slower that before, don't stress. Just show up and get work done! 💪
Another great performance from the @brayhockeyclub Ladies 3rds today. A scrappy first half but a superb second half and a 4-0 win over @avocahc keep the Ladies in the mix for the league title. 34 goals scored in 9 league matches and just 2 conceeded. I'm one very proud and happy coach. 💙💙💙
A great 4-0 win for the Ladies 3rds against @avocahc today. A brace for Michelle Lambert and one a piece for Ali Kavanagh and Caroline Kennedy. Big shout out to the girls from the 4ths for stepping up and helping out.
Trying to work on those damn #strictpullups whenever I get the chance, even during family walks through the park. Photo was taken on the way back down, so close to getting my chin above the bar haha 😁😋😎
My hockey coach told me I need to work on my mobility and pace, so that's what I'm doing!!
Started with @lesmillsuk Body Pump class, then did 30 minutes agility work on the ladder with short sprints, followed by 20 lengths in the pool.
Great start to the weekend!
If there is something you have been putting off for months/years.... why wait?
What if... had always stopped me in the past..
Let me tell you that each and every day is a chance to better yourself. If you are uncomfortable where you are, then you have the ability to change. Nobody is going to save you. You have to decide what you want to do and make that happen. I have been stuck in a rut numerous times over the years but I figured out what I wanted and worked on changing the situation. It’s not easy but the main thing for me is being happy on a daily basis. Everything else in life will fall into place. I do a lot of motivational posts to inspire YOU! Don’t float through life and let 10 years pass and still be in the same situation. Do the work when nobody’s watching and you will reap the rewards 👊
Progress is different for everybody.
It isn’t always something you see in the mirror BUT it is what you feel inside.
It’s something that other’s cant see.
It is something you feel inside you that you know you have made siqnificant changes.
It is feeling good within your own skin and it's feeling more confident that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Keep turning up for 6/8/12 weeks consistently and see the progress you will make.
Focus on what you can accomplish and make things happen.👊
Lessons I’ve learnt from being a Mum to my 4 month old: 1. Sometimes you don’t want to do things but you have to because they’re good for you (like tummy time!). ————————————————————-2. You might not be able to do something the first time you try but you have to try again and eventually you’ll get there. It’s not an option to give up and decide you’re not bothered to learn how to crawl or walk or talk ————————————————————-3. Change and development takes time. Just because you can’t do it now doesn’t mean you won’t with practice. ————————————————————-4. We learn from others and thrive when we’re surrounded by support, love, interaction and encouragement. ————————————————————-5. Celebrate small changes as they are on the path to big changes. ————————————————————-6. You’ll be able to do things in the future that you couldn’t comprehend doing now. —————————————————————7. Somedays will be bad but it’s not forever ————————————————————-8. You’ll look back on times gone by with fondness and you’ll never get them back so enjoy them, even if they feel hard. ————————————————————-9. Sometimes you don’t know what to do but you just have to figure it out as you go along and ask for help when you need it. ————————————————————10. Everyday you have with your loved ones is a great day.
There is plenty of time to get it done.
If your first week of 2018 didn't go as planned. Don't worry.
If it went great, keep the momentum going.
There is 51 weeks left. There is still so much progress to be made. Make 2018 the year you make huge changes all for the better.
So many will see it as failure if they slipped up already. Get back on it as soon as. Enjoy the process of training, getting fitter, healthier, stronger and becoming more confident. Make it happen. 💪
The gym not only has improved me physically but also mentally.
I always come out the other end mentally tougher. I get stronger each time I go and this only only motivates me more and more to progress.
Waking up every morning and taking steps to achieve your goals is what should be your aim. Don’t go through the motions. Ask yourself what you want to achieve. Write it down and take action.
I have so much respect for those that try and fail than someone who never attempts to go and chase their dreams. -
Less talk more action. Get to work on your goals and you will reap the benefits in every way.💪
Transformation Tuesday. As I get ready for my holiday to Cambodia I must remember to not let my new way of life to dissappear. I need to be able to enjoy myself without going crazy with food like I used to in the past. Any break to my routine would be an excuse for me to eat crap! But now I will balance the good with the bad. All I have to do is look at this picture and know nothing is worth going back to how I used to feel and live!
If you really want to change and make 2018 different then other years, you have to put in the work every single day.⠀
I have had opportunities pop up in the past week and it's from doing the work consistently. The hard work YOU do will not go unnoticed. It may take a month, it may take a year but if do the work when nobody's watching, that is the game changer. 👊
