For Me It's The Little Things In Life, Like Sitting Down All Cosy In My Pjs With A Green Tea Relaxing.
Using My 'Kris Kindle' Cup For The First Time For My Green Tea ☕️, Because It Still Feels Christmassy Out There 😂
With all the cold weather in Ireland this week, maybe staying in is def the new going out! Drop in and pick up our warm throws and cushions. Also, check out our comfy sofas 😁🏠 We are based in Sallynoggin, Nutgrove and Newbridge.
Imagine I actually managed to get a whole 10 mins of sunshine in the living room this morning so, I jumped at the chance to take a pic of this corner for @mygorgeousgaff take a seat this week!
This beautiful leather wing back chair was Den's Dad's favourite chair and is easily more than 50 years old I'm told. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet him, he sadly passed away many years ago but, thankfully we have his favourite chair as a nice reminder of him in our home. You wouldn't believe how comfortable it is to sit on and I know it gives Den much pleasure to do so while listening to Dad's old records ❤
On another note I dragged that wooden stool out of a skip I passed last year and managed to restore it, there really are no lengths I won't go to in the name of a great find! 😁
📷 Interior doors and switches/sockets tonight.....there are only so many sockets I can look at before I tear my hair out....can you tell I’m just almost at a point of getting “being over picking things” and just want to move NOW!
📷 I’m just looking over my Pinterest page and thought I’d share where my ideas for our kitchen came from.....it’s literally a mix match of lots of Pinterest images. We have gone for a daring dark navy, similar to the RAL colour of F&B Railings, pictured in the first image. I love @tomhowleykitchens but like to change it up a little, but a lot of inspo was taken from their kitchen design. Copper and Navy, with a stone effect ground floor tile and white granite worktops. The worktops will follow through into my larder. So for those who don’t know where to begin....start with Pinterest, it’s the best online mood board, after a while you will see a common theme in what you like, and what you are pinning. Don’t be put off if it’s the wrong colour, pin it and eventually you will be able to visualise it in the colours on your Pinterest board. Instagram is also a brilliant place for ideas, just # what you are looking for, ie #navybluekitchens#kitcheninspo#kitchenisland and so on! Screen grab the pictures and keep an album on your phone of your favourites x
📷 Bathroom lights have literally had my head melted over the last few days....so they have been put to the side for a few days and it’s onto picking our handles for our kitchen cupboards! @armacmartin Antique Copper is what we have chosen against our navy kitchen. The kitchen is similar to F&B Railings, our joiner (who is doing literally every single bit of wood work in the house, kitchen, utility, flooring, panelling and wardrobes), and amazing local man, has had the colour mixed up to exactly what we want. Sometimes, fancy showrooms are just that, they add on an extra % to the cost of your work, when they have the fancy showroom! Our guy.....works from a garage in his back garden and he has literally done everything I wanted from a printed sheet from Pinterest 😂
So excited to get the bathrooms tiled this week 👏🏼👏🏼 just to get them grouted, wall panelling on in main bathroom and the toilets/showers etc fitted ☺️ all looks very ‘grey’ atm but looking forward to adding some colour with our bath and paintwork.
I've been much quieter than I would like on Insta recently but, behind the scenes I have been working away trying to finish projects started back in 2017 that have really dragged ass into the new year 🙈 Finally, I'm delighted to say we have nearly completed our downstairs loo refurb YEEOW! 🎉
Full reveal next week when shelf, prints etc are hung and trim is finished so, in the meantime I would just like to show you my something old that we have turned into something new for this week's #mygorgeousgaff . I luckily found this stunning old chest of drawers for next to nothing last year that are not only more than 80 years old but, were handmade with beautiful solid wood too. Thought about painting it but, decided it would be pure and utter sacrilege!! Ignore the unfinished trim at the back resting on top of the wainscoting, finishing touches to be done this weekend, afterall one must keep up this new year, new me blah blah blah for at least another few weeks! 🙊😁
