Is it to early to do a show tb?? Loved every moment of this...I loved the challenge of having to push yourself harder than ever before. . .
I hear people talk about post show blues all the time... and it's usually down to having abs one day and them being gone the next.
I had a mind set to never do a show unless I'm able to 1st accept that the shape I will be in on show day with only last for one day!
So the fact my body is changing doesn't bother me at all... I'd almost say I'm used to it from going from such a low body weight -to a bulk -to a cut and now back to a lean bulk... but one thing i didn't preper for was feeling down about loosing all my strength in the gym and feeling like I did when I 1st stepped into the gym over a year ago and having to build everything back up again. And not having confidence in my lifts. This has been the hardest bit for me...but I'm sure all you other bikini girls feel the same !! Here's to never giving up
...and to light weights for the next while 🙌🙌🙌
. . .
Some air walking with some #muscleporn thrown in at the end. Slow pull ups are a great exercise and a great way to see how your backs shaping up . Did you know that in bodybuilding the reason that the 8 to 12 rep range is so affective has more to do with the time under tension it takes to complete? 50 to 70 seconds under tension is optimal for hypertropy.
From Europes Strongest Man U105. Me and Bryan got into mood when the kids had a danceshow between the events👌🏼 So we danced aswell 😃 If you can put a smile on peoples faces, so do it. I always try to have fun and give something back to the crowd that is supporting us😉 then a few minutes later it was back to full focus and get Hyped up for next event, but it was good to dance a little bit before that 😂#strongman#dance#esm#europesstrongestman#imp2017#irishmusclepower#havefun#makepeoplehappy#giveback
Some of the highlights of the Irish Muscle Power expo last week for me were:
• Seeing @arthurlynch pull a massive 307.5kg deadlift in front of a huge crowd at the @irishpowerliftingfederation Nationals. • My friend @thunderphysique
Winning his mens physique class and take the overall best bodybuilder category at the #wff Northern Ireland championships.
• Catching up with @lockgannon
and having a good talk about the industry and competing.
In an industry where there is so much bs information and shortcuts, it was refreshing to see some men who work their asses of and get rewarded for it 😎👊💥
Throwback to Celtic Games event 3 at the weekend. Following on from a 2 minute window of max power output backsquat (weight x reps completed = score) then a mere 1 minute rest you fired straight into event 3: 15 - 12 - 9 bar over burpees and power cleans @55kg. Going sub 3 mins and taking the win in event 3 was a real highlight of my weekend as I have never been much of a sprinter.
With 3 from 5 event wins over the weekend still not enough to take the overall win it's safe to say there was some legit competition!! Was great to catch up with everyone again and meet some new faces at this one. I went in with a lack of motivation but have left with a whole lot more drive.. it's amazing what a bit of competetive fitness can do.🔥🔥@celticseries @warriorprogramming @wedominatenutrition @nastylifestyle #celticgames#celticseries#crossfit#ukcrossfit#celtic#fitness#sport#cleans#burpees#squats#irishmusclepower#barbell#motivation#fire#tbt
Back in April I set myself a goal of doing a photoshoot but once that was over I felt I wanted more. Since then I have stepped on stage twice @miami.pro and @irishmusclepower taking myself out of my completely out of my comfort zone having never practiced posing I only had a few weeks to do so 😅
Both were great a experience & a learning curve for me, I loved every minute of it and I'll defiantly compete again 💯
"A comfort zone is a great place but nothing ever grows there" 🙌
So good meeting you Gary over the weekend @irishmusclepower you're a real gentleman.
It was actually great meeting everyone & being surrounded by so many like minded, motivated individuals.
Now.. it's time to get hyped for FitCom with @fittingfitness_ DEETS TO COME SOOOOON😛

#IrishMusclePower meeting the man himself alcocknocalves! Absolutely solid guy who knows what he's doing! It felt like I'd known the guy for years just from speaking to him. Chuck him a follow if you haven't already fellas!
Ps. I look far too happy in this picture lmao.
Those of us who post about our fitness journey get very caught up in lifting more weight, or growing an extra inch to our biceps, or dropping an inch from our waistlines. But often this can become a vicious cycle of self-centred indulgence. Real growing requires a growth of our emotions and personalities before we are in the right frame of mind to grow in other ways. Every now and then it's important to surround ourselves with the people we respect, giving them a helping hand, enjoying their company, and ultimately giving something back for all the support they give us 365 days of the year. Getting back to basics and enjoying the really simple little things in life is pivotal above all else. Vanity and materialism can rapidly plague our lives with negative outcomes if we don't know how to manage them correctly. I think this is very often forgotten among those who strive to improve themselves in the gym, and I'm often as guilty as the next person. Fortunately over the weekend I did spend some really quality time around some extra positive people, and I'll continue this on throughout this week as it is badly needed.

In the 12th of my series on #growingyourinstagram I'm going to touch in the topic of product placement. There are very few people who take Instagram seriously who wouldn't love to have some of the biggest brand names approach them seeking an endorsement etc. It's an indication of success and that your Instagram game was on point. But you have to firstly be very sure of what your followers are interested in. Just because I'm an IT nerd doesn't mean it would be a good idea for me to go plugging loads of software development and coding books to my followers. I couldn't imagine a more effective way of really annoying them. My followers have decided to follow me primarily due to my fitness journey, so I will always have to take this into account. Their primary interests are in that fitness, training and nutrition space. Equally if i did agree to endorse some products, I can't do this at the expense of the content which my followers initially have grown to expect me produce. They still want regular high quality information on my training, nutrition and fitness journey. But there certainly is the potential for a regular stream of mentions for related products along that journey. I should never go above a 80% core content 20% advertising split tho as I'll fundamentally jeopardise the valuable following I've got. While they might remain as followers of mine, I could significantly damage the quality of their engagement with my account firstly but also my core brand and reputation! This would not only undermine me, but also my usefulness to any companies I'm working with! Not every offer from a company that comes along is going to be the right one for you or them, so think it through and see how you see the social media strategy evolve with them over the future months and hopefully years! The right approach will see both you and them benefit hugely from each others efforts as both attract new followers and thereby grow each other's following and reputation!
You know you're on the right track when you're turning heads like @joeb_ad, the CEO of @projectadofficial and receiving their endorsements 👊💪

One of the best people I know!! @anthbailes was in ireland this weekend promoting his new soon to be released brand Maxxmuscle.... normally you wouldn't get one company promoting another but this guy has put everything into putting his brand together!!! One ☝️ Recommendation .....his protein it's pretty unique and pretty tasty.... going to be a great addition for any athlete!! Lookout for more stealth AD/MAXXMUSCLE travel shots in the future as hopefully we will be doing a few things together over the coming months #ATFB#mancrush#monday#airport#fly#irishmusclepower#belfast#legend
What people don't see about doing an expo😂.
@irishmusclepower was an amazing weekend and I couldn't of been happier with how the @fittingfitness_ stand turned out. It was exactly how we drew and planned it to be, Clean!
What people don't see is the 14 hour day we put in on the Friday setting that all up or the packing up after it was all over😂.
Today we had to empty the van and return it as it was a rental and now we have the head mincing task of organising, counting and racking EVERYTHING away for ease of picking for online orders.
It's not all fun and games 😂. But if I didn't love what I do then I wouldn't be doing it, it's that simple!
I love seeing results and an idea being manifested into something real! But I understand that without consistent action everything we do wouldn't be possible.
As much as I love results, I also love the process! It's the process that brings to the reward!
What an amazing weekend!
We want to thank each and every single person that stopped by the Fitting Fitness booth at @irishmusclepower.
It was such an amazing experience meeting so many great people and it's memories that we will hold dear to us forever!
You guys are the reason that we #LoveWhatWeDo .
We hope you all had an amazing weekend and from us all here at @fittingfitness_ , thank you for the memories!
