"Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:4-6
Fine, I guess I'll just stop looking at my watch and waiting! 😂
My girl @christigetshealthy posted this the other day and as I was scrolling it's exactly what I needed to see and remember. My tendency is to make shit happen and I want it to happen on my schedule! Y'all already know about my planners and schedules. Well some things are bigger than them and me. So fine, I'll be patient. 😊
I'm the apple of His eyes, I'm so precious to Him, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I serve a faithful God; He's the reason behind my smile. I keep rejoicing everyday. #Jesusbaby#Zechariah 2:8#Isaiah 54:17#Numbers 23:19

ENEMIES OF PRAISE
1. Spirit of heaviness. Unforgiveness, anger.
2. Murmuring and Complaining.
- When murmuring stops, accomplishment begins.
-When Complaining stops, triumph begins.
3. Discontentment. - Unless you are satisfied with Jesus, you will never smell contentment.
4. Holding onto your past.
- Your past is a trap. - Holding onto your past will destroy your destiny.
5. Being offended with God. - The times that you have been offended with God is a
stumbling block to your life. - Only a fool engages God in battle.
Isaiah 36: 1 - 37: 38⠀
Today's Old Testament reading - September 22⠀
"Now, Lord our God, deliver us from Sennacherib's hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, Lord, are the only God."⠀
Now there is an historical section.⠀
In the reign of Hezekiah, Sennacherib, king of Assyria took Judah's fortified cities. The Assyrians mocked Hezekiah's faith in God.⠀
Hezekiah called on Isaiah, who told him not to be afraid and that God would send Sennacherib back to Assyrian to die by the sword.⠀
Hezekiah prays for deliverance and is promised that the remnant of the house of Judah would survive.⠀
Sennacherib is killed by his sons while he was worshipping his god Nisrok.⠀
A sweet friend sent this scripture to me this morning. It's one of my favorite verses from the Lord. Pain has purpose. For growth, for a new direction or different path, for a stronger relationship with him. Whatever it may be, there is ALwAYs purpose and I'm so very thankful. Pain brought me to Jesus. Lovin' my new letter board from @wildbluyonder to display his promises all over our home. #purposeinpain#heismyhope#isaiah
