Flipping the perspective! Something wasn't quite right with this photo but after flipping the reflection and sky I like it a lot more... I have to admit that I've been struggling a lot lately with motivation to get out and about. Even the usual things like joining sports sports, studying Japanese or taking my camera out have been put on the back burner and instead I've just meandered through the last few of months without really doing or achieving anything. (A big reason could be down to the summer heat here but I'm sure that's only a small part of it)... The longer you stay out of things like this the harder it is to get back into the swing of things again so I'm really glad that this photoshoot came along at just the right time. One of the very few things I said "yes" to recently was meeting up with friends in Mitoyo to take photos together. It's not a convenient or short trip but it turned out to be completely worth it and an overall really fun experience. I love some of the photos that I've seen from it, both my own and from the host of other photographers there. So each photo I see from that evening is a good little nudge to myself that I need to keep saying yes to things but also get off my arse and stop avoiding activities and meetings for whatever reason. I've been great at making excuses recently but not a lot else. But I know there's lots to sort out and lots to dive back into now so let's hope this week can put things back on the right track... Anyway, apologies for the ramble but hopefully if anyone else is feeling in a similar little rut perhaps it'll help to give you that little push as well. Wednesday tomorrow, so still plenty of time to rescue the week I'm sure! .
