Thankful to our neighbors for sharing this blessed holiday with us. They aren’t just friends, but more like family. For dessert, we are enjoying chocolate covered strawberries prepared with the help of Imogen. #happythanksgiving#californiastyle
Thanksgiving is one of the best days of the year, if not the best. We get to fill our house with family, love, and some gorgeous grub. Last one here with mom and dad before they head to Florida, so we’re extra thankful they were here this year. 💕
She just gets better. She has it. Her beauty is still captivating. We at Firm 360, we show props to those who have paid dues..opened doors for others.. And just maintained the total package that the world fell in love with from day one. She's major. A Mother. Wife.. Working Woman. She is so major. Love is Love. Firm.
#tbt . Susan Lucci. The shorter the style, the hotter the look. Short hair styles allow for the facial features and the prettiness of the face, show more. The short hair stands out.. It looks very cleaner.. More angelic even.. More mature. The woman stands out wearing shorter hair styles. She glows. Susan Lucci, she looks right no matter what. This was awesome. Firm.

Surf ‘n Turf! Mini octopus braised in red wine and tomato sauce together with lots of bone marrow and fresh basil ... served with Gemelli pasta. The bone marrow and juices from the octopus make the sauce incredibly rich and flavorful. Toasted bread crumbs on top give the dish an amazing crunch. Genius combination by Chef Michael White, who serves this as a signature dish at his restaurant Marea. I have tried to recreate this dish a few time already. This version is quite delicious already, but I am still not happy with the result ... #pasta#italianamerican#bonemarrow#octopus#homecooking#cooking#food#dinner#gemelli#surfnturf
That's a silky, creamy amazing carbonara! The trick is all in the creaminess, so get the right amount of cooking water to the cream made with eggs, pecorino and black pepper. Thanks to @hakunamatatabrewery 🍝😋🇮🇹
Happy Thanksgiving! 🇺🇸
Although this holiday has a sordid history I'm still learning, or unlearning what was taught, I keep thinking about what it means to me personally. As an Italian American my great grandparents left the only place they ever knew to give a better life for themselves and their future generations, that's me, in a way they did it for me. I am thankful to all of them for taking chances, traveling to a place that they were not really welcome, sadly not much has changed in 100 years, to chase the "American Dream". I definitely would not be here if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be able to be thankful for my little family or the loud family I'm hosting today😍. So today I am thankful for my immigrant great grandparents. ❤️ @potterybarn @crateandbarrel @food52 @homegoods
I am feeling ever grateful today for the many beautiful and loving people in my life, especially my family. I’m feeling especially grateful for new inspirations, new ideas for a big creative project I will be manifesting in the coming week and months. I will share more info soon as I continue to explore and allow myself to better understand what is coming, what I will share with you. For now, I will say I am quite excited about the process and the prospect. Stay tuned, take good care of each other and be please be good to yourself, my dear friends. Many warm wishes for the holidays. #writersofinstagram#writer#writerscommunity#poet#artistsoninstagram

Last week I was invited to Torgiano by the owner of Agriturismo Casale Villa Chiara. Do you believe me if I say that I will go back immediately?😍 Warm welcome, tasty local food, cozy rooms, a flourishing garden with a spectacular view of the hills and the village. they also produce both wine and oil. I could not ask for more. Or better, I could, since they also have a pool, but in November I couldn't take advantage of it. 😉 I surely recommend this agriturismo for a Umbrian retreat. Find out about the 1928 murder of gambler Arnold Rothstein and other mobsters in a special historic mob tour that starts in Little Italy and ends in Brooklyn.
If hunting Easter eggs is too tame, try this: Gangland games and a scavenger hunt, complete with bad boy reenactments.
NYC Mob Tour has created an evening of Cosa Nostra fun scheduled for tomorrow that will let participants go back to a grittier time when New York was run by the Mob.
The tour will include looking for "something very precious that belonged to notorious East Side Jewish thug Monk Eastman, a quiz hosted by the brilliant accountant to the mob syndicate Meyer Lansky, a dice game with the most notorious gambler in American history, Arnold Rothstein, and a bootleg liquor run with the wildly unpredictable ladies man Benjamin (Bugsy) Siegel," said the tour creator and leader, Gideon Levy.
There is room for 40 wanna-be wiseguys, divided into four teams, who will vie for door prizes and keepsakes while traveling by foot around the city.
The fun starts in Little Italy at 5 p.m., and ends up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It'll cost $15 in advance or $20 in person to participate.
"History tours are all about looking back on something that has already happened and gone," Levy said. "This is even better - bringing the history back to life, and feeling like you are part of a more wild and dangerous time in New York's history."
Levy, 29, has a wealth of Mafia information to share. He has been infatuated with gangland history and heritage since he was a child.
"It all started when I was 13 years old, when I tried on my first suit," he said. "I just looked like a tough guy in it and I wanted to shake some people down. So I started getting into gangster movies and gangster culture."
The company also offers walking and bus/walking tours every Saturday and Sunday. Learn more at nycmobtour.com.#gangster#italian#italianmob#italianmafia#italianamerican#mafia#mob#gambino#newyork#queens#whiteboy#prison#clintoncorrectionalfacility#upstate#upstatenewyork
