How goes it good people? So even though I’m home for break right now, I’ve got another bangin dish from the Ithaca area for ya. You’re looking at a filet mignon from The Mahogany Grill right downtown in the commons. Okay not to be dramatic, but this is the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life. It melts in your mouth like freakin butter. It typically comes with mashed potatoes and house vegetables. Not gonna lie I’m not super into the sides, but that’s mostly because I’m too busy letting my inner carnivore sing. You can get this dish with stilton bleu cheese butter, aged balsamic reduction, or sea salt bearnaise. My personal fav is obviously bearnaise, but the bleu cheese butter is tempting me. I 100% recommend this steak to any meat loving human. It does not disappoint. Ever. This dish’s rating is clearly a 10/10. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself and then come talk to me.
One last thing: this place is very very very pricey. For that reason, I only get to enjoy this outstanding dish once a year. The apps are pretty good, I like the truffle French fries the best, but there’s a lot so I would split it. After retrieving the sounds from an ARU, the next step is to analyze them📈. While a lot of this analysis currently happens in our lab 💻 in Ithaca, New York, we also lead sound analysis 📻 training programs in central Africa as well. We hope to continue running these programs so that local wildlife conservation groups may begin to use Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) as a conservation tool.
