Did you know that birth control is a class 1 carcinogen (meaning they KNOW it causes cancer) don't believe me? Google a list of class 1 carcinogens. It's there right along side plutonium, asbestos, formaldehyde, diesel fuel, mustard gas, etc. ⛽️ Just because they don't "advertise" it to you doesn't mean it's safe. Yes our world is full of foods & medications that are known carcinogens. It's the job of these companies to make money...not to be concerned with those who buy or use their products without educating themselves. Take control of your own health. Be an investigator & do your own research. The information is there. It simply takes a bit of googling. ** Also if you're taking a "non-hormonal" form of birth control such as the copper ring ... I suggest you research the affects of having extra copper in your body as well. It's not any safer. Major minerals such as copper CONTROL our hormones and so many other reactions within our bodies. #pulloutgamestrong#pulloutforthewin#pullout
Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life. 🌈
After dealing with anxiety for years, I think I have finally come to terms with this. Through all of the planning and stressing and worrying over change and what might happen in the future...I have come out on the other side, stronger than ever.
Forever I always thought I needed to reach out to people, I needed to make the first move, I needed to build bridges because otherwise I would lose people close to me.
But my, what a weight that has been lifted off to me after I realized it wasn’t up to me.
If I constantly have to reach out to people and give, give give, while people just take, take, take...it’s not worth it.
It’s not worth the stress and anxiety to continue trying to keep relationships that aren’t necessary.
I was always told having 4 quarters makes your richer than having 100 pennies. I never understood. Until now.
4 quarters and 100 pennies might both make a dollar, but 1 quarter is more important than 1 penny. Having 4 close, amazing, loyal friends is better than having 100 acquaintances.
I may not have as many people here in Chicago as I would like, but the ones I do have make it worth it.
And besides that, I️ have finally found out how to make myself happy.
How to accept that time alone, with myself, doesn’t mean I’m alone but rather that I️ can freely be me, to do whatever I want.
You cannot sit around hoping other people will make you happy all the time. If you cannot make yourself happy first, you’re not really ready to let anyone else in.
Have you ever cut ties and felt a huge weight lifted off of you?
It’s Election Day and I️ feel pretty strongly about it. A year ago people were lining up in Western NY to proudly leave their “I️ Voted” stickers on Susan B. Anthony’s grave after they voted to elect our first female president. I️ am absolutely positive she would want to know that her life’s work resulted in us all being proud to exercise our right and duty to vote at EVERY chance we are given to do so. The woman spent her whole life fighting for it and never was able to cast a vote herself. Today, I️ walked into an elementary school named after Robert F. Kennedy and was reminded of his bravery and hard work to better our nation as well. Voting is a duty that people worked really hard (and died) to give us, so freaking go do it!!!! PS if you live in NYS don’t forget to turn your ballot over and vote on the propositions. The poll workers are not allowed to instruct you on how to use the ballot. It’s on the back. *stepping off my soapbox now*
I just had a refreshing chat to an older GENT that wanted to yarn about THO and multiple other things that had changed in his day 😁- He was 86 and frequently used the THO App- he wasn’t sure how they got it on there (I believe a grandson downloaded the app for him) but he said it was on his iPad and he liked to keep an eye on things..... For anyone else that works in the industry and has not got the App because they can’t use them... pull your finger out. It’s a very good and FREE tool. Search “The Herd Online” in the App Store for Apple and Android. #downloadthefreeapp @theherdonline #noexcuses#itsyourjob
#pricelessmoments like this keeps me going everyday! Today I slept in and my husband took the kids to the bus stop! Walking back home from the bus stop, my sweet girl told me: Thank you mom for showing your love ❤️ for me even when we are apart! I didn’t understand it first, so she explained to me: remember when my best friend Tiffany moved to Japan and you told me that LOVE ❤️ can travel very far and she would find ways in her heart to keep me with her even when we are apart? That’s how I feel coming home and you are matching me at the bus stop! She melted my heart ❤️ and of course I cried! Yes. Love is the most important feeling I try to plant in their little hearts! My day is full! #trustory#trylove#motherslove#theylearnfromyou#veryproud#love#itsyourjob#myeverything
Pick Them Up
A motivational speech given by Walter Bond really spoke to me I'm going to paraphrase a bit here but I'll post a link below to listen for yourself.
Walter talks about his dad always picking him up..he remembers when his dad came home from work no matter how tired he was he would pick up his son.. Picking up a child is a spiritual interaction!
So pick them up!
When you pick up a child you change their perspective...
You give them a chance to change the way they see the world.
It is our job to always pick them up... When they get too big to physically pick them up..
Emotionally... Pick them up! ☝
Spiritually... Pick them up!☝
... Keep picking them up.
Always help them change their perspective.. Now to get the full impact of this speech you really have to listen to it for yourself and hear his amazing story of how his own father picked him up when he was down and change his perspective..which took his life to places it never would have gone if his father hadn't picked him up and changed the way he saw his world!
