I️ have gained 8 pounds back. I️ haven’t been working out consistently since mid terms and I️ don’t always eat what I️ should. BUT the great thing is that I️ can decide right now to turn that all around and start living a healthy lifestyle for myself. So excited to get back at it! #iuchaarg#chaarg

@chaarg challenged us to write this week. I didn't write much, but I put on paper a list of things I'm not, because as I am constantly changing, it's impossible for me to list who I am. One thing I am, or that I try to be (especially when things DON'T go my way, in which case these are the hardest times to do so) is grateful. With Thanksgiving around the corner, I've been trying to tell myself to take deep breaths and think about the things I have rather than the things I don't have. I have a family who loves + supports me, friends who would do anything for me, and a life partner who would take a bullet for me. I'm also grateful to have the skills and mindsets I have today. It's okay to be grateful for yourself ++ to be grateful for who you are--or aren't ;) I'm done constantly trying to label myself and tell myself what I want to hear. This is the beginning of me telling myself how to really see myself: as someone who is constantly changing and trying to better herself + someone who is grateful everyday. #CHAARGexec#IUCHAARG#CHAARGlove

I️ did learn though that taking the time to get myself reorganized for my day helped me get back on track! I️ got a 5/5 on a pre-class quiz in a class that is normally a class I struggle in. I’m overwhelmed to say the least. Between school work, RA responsibilities, and all things CHAARG Exec I’m struggling to keep track of everything. Luckily, my exec team is *incredibly* supportive and I am so grateful.

Beginning a new week + being ripped out of our warm beds can be excruciating! It's time to start loving Monday Mornings, or at least trying to ; ) Monday's are the start of the week, a fresh start, new beginning. And while I have had my fair share of attending classes late due to sleeping in a little extra, I'm ready to start trying to love the idea that Mondays = Freshdays. Post-meditation stretching to wake my muscles [+ mind!!] back up. Silencing my thoughts for 10 minutes is definitely still a struggle, but I’m learning to embrace the challenge and look forward to my quiet time each evening. This entire FitPlan I’ve been saying yes to something new — working out with someone else [hey hey @vaz_inchaarg ]. I’ve always preferred to do my gym workouts alone with my headphones but I have SO enjoyed completing the workouts alongside a fellow #IUCHAARG memb. We push + motivate each other each time we meet + never fail to have a better workout than we would’ve had alone. Instead of unplugging during my commute, I decided to unplug while I cleaned my room. I haven't taken the time to really enjoy doing something for myself recently, ++ cleaning my room always makes me feel more complete. Today I woke up realizing that a year ago I decided to really focus on getting back into shape and I’m grateful that @chaarg has helped me get there. I’ve officially lost 23 pounds, but I’ve gained confidence and friends from CHAARG. Today I’m grateful for mornings walks to class to reflect, chai lattes to sip while reading a book, and puppies (🤷🏼♀️😂). Day 2: #CHAARGFITPLAN hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! My favorite water bottle is my hydroflask which keeps my water cool and my tea hot. I have been drinking three of these a day at least! “Only you are responsible for your own growth.” Let me tell you, I needed this daily inspo SO BADLY today. Lately, I’ve been struggling with my health, struggling to get by in grad school, honestly just struggling to feel like I’m enough. Every day has been a battle for me lately, and this morning I woke up feeling defeated. I decided I’d just sit the first day of the fitplan out and catch up tomorrow, but at the last minute (literally at like 9:15) I decided to give it a go. I realized two things from today’s workout and daily piece of inspiration. 1) things are only going to get better if I decide they’re going to. And 2) my self worth isn’t defined by what the healthy people are doing or by what everyone around me in grad school is doing, but by what I get up and decide to do, every single day. Day 1: #CHAARGFITPLAN Set your intentions! My overall intention for the next 6 weeks is to love my body + my mind! These are my before photos and I definitely see ways I could love my body more. Good food, sweat seshes, + overall no matter what my body looks like I need to respect it and love it. Mentally, I can always do better for my mental health! I want to take 10 min everyday + reflect, take a break when needed from studying and overall never blame myself for a bad day but also hold myself accountable.
