The first priority is to get healthy, the weight loss is just a by product. If you’re focused on weight loss all the time, you’re going to find yourself obsessing over that number. For me, I’m the happiest mom, wife, friend, sister, and daughter when I feel amazing. My mood is better, my energy is better, and I can give more to others after I take care of myself.
So many times I have heard, “I’d love to join one of your groups but I don’t have any time at all because kids and work and...” I get it. I really really do. Just like anything you have to make time. If you want it you’ll find the time, even if it’s 10 minutes. Gotta start somewhere right?! I started with a colicky 3 month old and a two year old. I dreaded working out at 9pm when they finally fell asleep (and also waking up at night😆) but look where that journey took me. #youcan

Back to the 2 a day gym sessions. I’ve officially kicked my cold. Will start taking a daily Multivitamin, why I haven’t been idk 😐. I cruise 🚢 to Honduras 🇭🇳 and Mexico 🇲🇽 in less than 2 months. Bought some cute shorts, I’d love ❤️ to wear. With all that being said, it’s back to the routine. Smaller portions and weighing my food. Yup, the Frosted Flakes got weighed and eaten in the smaller white bowl which holds 11oz. 😂 #portioncontrol#ivegotgoals#moderation

I wouldn’t have had the courage to do so 18 months ago. When you work on becoming your best self, you realize you are CAPABLE of becoming YOUR BEST SELF!! Becoming a Beachbody health and fitness coach has blessed my life in more ways than I can count. The only way to get results is to make sure you are prepared. Back day done and meal prep for everyone done. These are not all the meals I made, #swipeleft . I did meals for my parents too, just not pictured. All in all 29 meals made, along with extras in the fridge. Food is sometimes the hardest obstacle for people and I'm making it easier for myself and the family to make better choices. #mealprep#makinggoodchoicesdaily
It looks OK. For the most part it feels OK. But it’s not OK. I hate it when something HURTS! 😬. It ain’t excruciating pain, but when I raise my extended arm up to the side it hurts where the red circled area is. So... workouts are requiring modifications, but I can do it. No pushups right now, but it’ll heal. It’s part of the journey. I know I have arthritis in that shoulder so maybe it’s just a flare. Sure hope it heals soon. Tomorrow I start a new 7 days of workouts from Clean Week. I sure hope I can do them. If not, I will modify. It’s how I roll... but I WON’T GIVE UP! 💪😁❤️. What’s your fitness plan this week? One more week. One more week of my 3 week cleanse!! I have done great so far and I know I will finish strong, but I am excited to be done. I feel great inside & out. I could not have done this without out the support of the others doing it along with me, in our online accountability group.

This weekend has flown by! Soccer, homecoming, friends in town, football, late nights ....”single-momming it” and it’s all good, but I was exhausted this morning.... Now it’s time to get to work....sneaking a little time away to check in with my challengers, start my new group tomorrow, get focused on my goals for the upcoming week....still need to get a workout in too!
I love what I do! I was actually just in line for the coffee, and a man asked me what shakeology was? I forgot I was wearing this hat and I looked at him kind of strangely.....wondering how he knew that I drank it!?!? Anyway, long story short....he and his friend are looking for a way to get back in shape....but don’t want to invest in a personal trainer....I’m sending him information on how my challenge groups work and hopefully he will be able to join me!

I like to set myself up for success on Sundays. Organize my schedule for the week, do the laundry, meal plan & head to the grocery, and meal prep for the week... It’s not always my first choice but staying prepared helps me really have no choice but to have a great week!
Been reading up in intermittent fasting and it sounds like something that definitely works with my hectic schedule. Today is actually day two of me trying it out, just had my first meal (ate my last...and second meal yesterday at 7 after competition) and I feel fine. I don't feel like I should be forced to eat if I'm not hungry. I will just go by how im feeling at the moment, but the plan right now is to only eat between 12-8 and then I will see if I can shorten the time, which I probably will as I start getting back in the gym. Then once I get back STRICT on my vegan meal plan...thats a WRAP!
I'm off to work an ER shift this morning because working weekends is just part of working veterinary emergency medicine. .
Emergencies do not wait until a "convenient" time to hit -- in fact, they usually seem to hit at the WORST time and sometimes all at once 😭 .

Understand the passion behind WHY you want to chose an apple over a cinnamon bun. Understand WHY you consistently MAKE time that isn't there to get a 30 minute sweat sesh in.
Digging deep is the only way to stay rooted in change. The deeper you dig? The further you go.
