Sitting here waiting to pick up kids from school so I can run them to their tumbling classes. I’m currently running 2 households this week! 4 surgeries in a year, losing people before that to an illness they just don’t understand, not able to start friendships because of it, or anything because of it. Being doubted, doubting myself. Panic attacks, and everything in between. This won’t control me & i’m ready to kick some ass in the up coming months. I’ve been 100% on my nutrition! Getting every workout in! Doing decent on my sleep, most nights get 7-8 hours of sleep! 
Today was hard! I have a clingy (almost) 2 year old! Him and I only got about 4-5 hours of sleep last night. 
But he only made me push harder today. On the push always he literally made me push him away! He added extra weight and resistance!

A little over two weeks ago, I spent an early Saturday morning getting a PRP injection. PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma and the injection is used to treat chronic tendon injuries (like high hamstring tendinopathy) and acute ligament and muscle injuries.  After my blood was drawn amd spun in a centrifuge, the concentrated platelets were reinjected into my hamstring at its point of origin, which is the ishial tuberosity (or sitting bone). The procedure took an hour and then I was on my merry way to go home and start resting.

So far, my pain management doctor is pleased with the amount of improvement that has been made, but I still have a way to go in the recovery process.  It will be another 2-3 months before we know if the procedure was a success. My next follow up is two weeks away, and at that appointment I may find out if a return to physical therapy is in my future (no offense to physical therapists, but I really hope not). And when I might be able to resume doing lower body exercises.  I don't just mean squats and lunges...yoga has been off-limits too.  In the meantime, I have been working towards a modest weight loss goal, started my classes for my next certification, and started painting to help occupy all the time that I spend resting.

When I first started my journey I HATED eggs but they are such a good staple to have in your diet. I found a recipe for egg wraps and I’ve been in love with eggs since. This is such an easy meal that quickly goes together. Today I did 3 Egglands best eggs, 3tbsp egg whites—beat together In a mug. I added rosemary, parsley, oregano, onion powder, and salt/pepper. Pour into skillet, cover with lid, I like to flip mine for the last 20 secs just to seal the deal. Add whatever you please. With 12 possible half marathon events that have caught my eye for 2018 I think these are the ones that I truly want to focus on. It comes down to dates and distances apart from each event. The goal is a half in each state as possible with QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC and SA making the list! Fingers crossed my leave from work gets approved!! The others that caught my eye is ▶️Western Sydney Marathon ▶️ SIDS Stampede ▶️ Carmens Womens Fun Run. Today the LAST thing I wanted to do after leaving practice at 6:00 pm after also having morning practice at 5:45 was go to the gym.... #highschoolcoachlife #hscoachproblems BUT I went and now my arms will match my super freaking sore legs tomorrow... every single time I start a workout program I have this problem where I overdo it because I compare myself now to the #hasbeen athlete I was in high school and college. Don’t misunderstand I was NEVER a small athlete. But I was a multisport athlete with a few collegiate offers. I chose to throw the shot put in college and at my strongest I was squatting 350 & bench pressing 280. Now I don’t even think I could squat 135 or bench 100. But even though it physically hurt every single step I took today after a crazy leg day yesterday, I went back today and killed an arm workout. Goal is to go back tomorrow for another day of legs but we’ll see if I’m still this sore in the morning it may just be a jog around the neighborhood day. I’m 14 months post-op and just now making consistent workouts a priority. While I don’t recommend that to anyone, I had to decide I didn’t just want to me thinner, I wanted to be fit. So heres to a new lifestyle of striving towards fit. I’ve set new goals that include a muscle to fat weight goal.

- Thinking we can't eat healthy or that its too hard.
- Thinking we don't have time for exercise.
- Thinking our current workout length is long enough and we can't last longer.
- Thinking our current "long run" and average pace is all we've got. - Thinking we aren't able to do X, Y, Z.

I thought those 15s were too heavy.
I thought I needed some 12s.
I tried to buy some this weekend and couldn't find the ones that match - we have two type A peeps living here, they HAVE to match!
My awesome husband gave me a pep talk of sorts and this morning I tried those 15s for the things I thought I needed 12s for... GUESS WHAT? I ROCKED those 15s.
I had to fight for a couple reps, but that makes me STRONGER!
I had one move I made it through half the reps and had to switch out. But now I have a goal to make it further next time!

Stop under-estimating yourself! We're capable of so much more than we TELL OURSELVES. ❤
