Snakes are a personal go to for me whenever I feel anxious. Whenever I would get stressed out or have a panic attack I would hold one of my babies. Holding them helps me center myself, my focus goes from whatever trivial thing was working me up to trying to be a stable branch for them to rest on. A safe place for them to explore and enjoy being out of their tank.
Many people are afraid or just disgusted by snakes and reptiles. From personal experience these are some of the most gentle, docile creatures I have interacted with. If you take the time to understand something, you may find yourself liking it more than you'd expect. 🌼 .
