Sweet sweet Jamaica, we love yuh!
Today we visited Central Branch Primary School to educate them on the meaning and importance of the National Flag.
It brought us tremendous joy to see the children engaged in the movement to build Nationalism and generate genuine appreciation for the Jamaican Culture.
While we were at the African street Festival, without being told, Trey proudly picked up the flag of my father's origin: JAMAICA! The green represents the vegetation, the gold for sunshine and wealth, and black represents the strong people and all they have overcome. In my mind, the gold should also represents all those gold medals the Jamaicans bring home in track and field. Lol Whew! I love it. #africanstreetfestival#hadleypark#jamaica#jamaicanflag#smile#blackgold
