It finally weekend (for me, at least) 😄I didn't have any proper weekends since I started college, but my first course is now done and next one starts monday 😜so I take opportunity to catch up on my reading schedule (I did fall behind again 😫) and do stuff I didn't have time to do! Like coloring for example, this one has been a work in progress since august because I was lacking time with all the studies and trying to keep up with my reading schedule 😄
#qotd : What are your hobbies?
Btw those two black stone looking thingies have a little backstory. I got them today from my mom and she was very excited with "I've got a present for you" and stuff. 😜(I live presents, especially when you are not waiting to get one, who doesn't?). But my first reaction was like: "Are those stones?" 😂I really thought it was, but it's actually a couple of erasers and exactly what I've missed, and was planning to buy soon. 😊So big big thanks to my mom 😄she knows me too well 😅
I've been tagged by @shh_iamreading to do #top5femalecharacters tag, tagging some of you and even if I didn't feel free to do it!
For some reason I couldn't tag you in the pic, but here are the tags for the challenge:

Oh my, little Ivy is exactly like me... 😆
Anyway... Colouring is just for fun but I see lots of people having a problem with starting some colouring pages because they think they might "ruin" it with a new technique. It happens to me too with few illustrations I like a lot. I have a picture in my head but "afraid" how it will turn out in the end and put it aside for a while until I figure out a way to do it properly. 😆 It is ok if we want to do it right but how could we improve if we're not trying and discovering new ways? I learned a lot from my mistakes and keep seeing them on every colouring. The best thing is...when I look at my Secret Graden or Enchanted Forest, two books I started with...I can totally fix some messy pages now if I want to. 💪 We can work for hours on one page and I know how frustrating it can be when it doesn't turn out the way we planned. But the fact is - it can never be perfect and we just have to enjoy the process of learning. If it gets messy, it will probably be the page that will make you better. Mistake is good if you learn from it.
In #IvyandtheInkyButterfly book there is a variety of things to colour. Apart from regular pages with only illustrations, you have a story inside so lots of pages have little drawings or frames around text where you can try some new techniques and there is no fear of making mistakes. 👀 This page above, for example, contains lovely drawings where you can colour just few elements, it will look great. Then you can decide if you are comfortable enough to make the whole background or even add your scene to it later. So in my opinion this book might be good for beginners, everyone who are willing to take colouring to a new level or just feel the way I described. I absolutely love it! 👌❤😄 #johannabasford
