Ezekiel 22:30 says, "I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one." A sad verse.
The Lord was searching for someone to stand in the gap between Himself and His people. A righteous one to deflect His wrath. One who would stand bravely enough against deserved punishment for the sake of salvation and grace. But He found no one. Not one among the priests - those appointed to maintain good relations between the Almighty and His chosen people. Not one among the princes - whose position it was to protect and promote and improve the nation. Not one among the people - who were called to live in the exercise of justice, sympathy, and unity, living among his brothers for a common goal.
And we see this same apathy lived out today. Character may qualify us for office, but official position doesn't generate moral character. Rank is simply a change of situation and occupation. They only involve changes to the outside man, they do not reflect real self.
Many Christ-followers have an opportunity for real lasting influence on the world but fail to uphold godly character that assists in life-change to the hearer. The highest rank is not always desired among men, as it demands inward examination and internal improvement first.
This.. was the noblest occupation, and is ours too.. but yet no one can be found.
One person can change the world and for the Christian it matters most as life and death are on the line. Will we be ready when He calls?
My commitment to godly influence can change the world.
Nothing can stand against us. We are not just conquerors, we are more than conquerors. Because #God is for us, no one and nothing can stand against us. That shows #authority , #power . #Hallelujah !
The #knowledge of who you are and what you have as a man in #Christ is important. God has shown how much He loved us by sending #Jesus to earth to save us. He has won the #victory ! Glory! Even in the face of persecution, trouble, distress, we have overcome. We are triumphantly victorious by the reason of God's #love . Nothing can separate us from God's love.
Good day 😊

Rejoice in weaknesses !!! To read more about it go on his page 🔥🙏 God bless u all Repost from @josephprince ●●●
Are you in a place where you feel like your shortcomings and weaknesses have limited the best life that God has for you? If you are, you’re a prime candidate to receive God’s amazing, undeserved favor in your life! God says this in His Word: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2Cor 12:9)

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for Gods people in accordance with the will of God." (Romans 8:26-27) Even when we are weak, HE is strong. There is no one greater than Jesus. Why would we even think that someone may fall shorter than us, that we know more, that we are better. God has the world in HIS hands. HE has a perfect path, a priceless plan for each and everyone. Who are we to say what He's gonna do with someone's story? Why point out someone's weaknesses and flaws before looking at our own. The church is supposed to be built on love, God is love. I am SO grateful and thankful for Gods grace in my life, and for picking me up. For the way that HE has made things new without me really having to even lift a finger. Because HE knows me. HE knows us in our trials, and HE knows us in our joy. Even when you become so weak, you try to pray and can't think of the words to say, HE is there. If that's not pure, perfect, true love I don't know what is. HE can use our trials for good, our pain for preparation. We just have to trust. "HE will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." This weekend only, across both campuses, we will have a new guest speaker for each service! They will each be teaching an impactful message on their favorite verse. Every service will be unique, so you won't want to miss it! (Check the link in bio for service times)
How do you respond to the accusations or condemnation from others? Does it get stuck in your mind, their words replaying incessantly as you relive the painful moments? Do you try to make sense of the argument by going over and over their charges against you, debating them in your mind? This is one of the many schemes of our enemy the devil as he seeks to discourage/divide us. God has hope through His Word for perspective and practices that help us gain control of our thought-life. He offers freedom through Christ where we no longer need vindication of being wronged nor validation of being right. We don't have to be slaves to our out of control thought-life! ⚠ ESTÁ DIFÍCIL? ⚠

July 30th is the commemoration of the dukhrono of St. Jacob Baradaeus +578 according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox Church.
Mor Yac'ub Burd’ono was born in Tella Mawzalt also known as Constantina (Viranşehir,Turkey) near Nisbis, to the Syriac Orthodox priest Theophilose bar Manu. His parents did not have children for a long time & in fulfillment of a vow made by his parents, he was dedicated to God.
Mor Yac'ub lived during one of the harshest periods of the Syriac Church. The Syriac Orthodox Church did not accept Chalcedonian, but along with the Copts accepted only the 3 Holy Ecumenical Synods. Emperor Justinian had resolved to enforce the Chalcedonian decrees universally, & the Bishops, clergy & faithful who refused to accept the decrees were punished with imprisonment, deprivation, exile or death. As a result, the Orthodox were deprived of their spiritual leaders & for about ten years many churches had to forgo the sacraments. The faithful were not ready to accept the sacraments from the heretics.
With the support of the Ghassanid King(The Ghassanids were an ethnic Arab Syriac Orthodox kingdom), Empress Theodora managed to get Mor Yac'ub Burd'ono ordained as universal bishop by Patriarch Theodosius I, to spread the Orthodox faith & ordain clergy.
All Orthodox faithful should gratefully remember St. Jacob Baradaeus as he is responsible for restoring the Church from extinction by his indomitable zeal & untiring activity, as the Church was threatened by the persecution of the imperial power. He is one of the most famous Church Fathers for his godliness & piety; he attained the summit of religious & austere asceticism. Mor Yac'ub Burd’ono was arguably the greatest Apostolic fighter in support of the true Orthodox faith, unceasingly working to protect & promote Orthodoxy in the face of immense persecution. He is honored in the 5th Dypthic (Thubden d-Qadishe) every Sunday in Syriac Orthodox Church as "Our venerable and Holy Father Mor Jacob Baradaeus, the upholder of the Orthodox faith" #syriac#orthodox#church#christian#saint#malankara#jacobite#suryoyo#aramean#assyrian#eastern#faith#jesus#orientalorthodox#persecution#coptic
