One of the most amazing aspects of my teacher training in India was the exposure to the international dialect of yoga. I got to. "try on" and immerse myself in the cultures and rituals of my fellow yogis. We came together from all corners of the earth in pursuit of one thing, and that was to make ourselves instruments of joy and compassions for all beings everywhere. As we endeavor today to build tribes of the future it is important to begin to evolve as worldcentric thinkers working towards seeing things from a multicultural advantage. #teachjivamukti#jivamuktitribe#tribesofthefuture#jivamuktiyoga#yogaforpeace#getoutofyourbox join me this week for a Jivamukti Open Class @centrolapaz 5:45 PM Tuesday & Thursday. Thanks @froeken_stroeken for the photo!

🌸 changes 🌸
Few things that I would never ever have done a few years back:
• wear shorts
• keep my hair with its natural curls for more than half a day
• listen to this song which brings back a lot of memories from another lifetime.
It's nice to wake up one morning and notice this unintentional change... as you're uploading a video on Instagram lol
Poise, Self Control, and getting completely comfortable in your own body are the result & benefits of long term daily practice. How many Asanas you master will depend on your genetics, the age you started yoga and your individual constitution (check out Ayurveda or Macrobiotics.) ultimately it’s not about the asanas, cause one day they will all fade. The key is to connect to the type of mind you cultivate. Are you becoming more peaceful? Have you learned to trust yourself & your own instincts? Are you treating others with kindness? These are the real gems, the real gifts of all that effort, exerted over the years. A lean body and fancy postures are all subject to time. Time is a rat, slowly gnawing away at our achievements. Who are you on the inside? #jaisugrimmethod

🌸 voilà! 🌸
Can't wait to start teaching in this beautiful space. Larger space to explore more "spacious" poses like inversions and arm balances!!! 🌸
This studio is a bit different so you need to book through me by emailing with your name and date you want to attend. More packages with cheaper options will be available next month. 🌸
Come join me for a special opening class this Sunday.
I was fortunate to do a class with @phildouglasyoga last week - I can not recommend him enough, & I look forward to going again this week at @sangyeyogaschool . He is an incredible teacher, accessible to all, with a wealth of knowledge on anatomy (he even brought a skeleton-model to class to help explain how the hip flexors work). His cheeky humour will make you laugh through the never-ending jump-throughs he encourages you to do between postures 😂
Sangye yoga school offer a great intro offer (£40 for 30 days unlimited yoga), they have incredible teachers and are the Jivamukti affiliate school in the UK.
Thanks 🙏🏼 Phil & SSY

🌸 yoga = excellence 🌸
It is safe to say that the practice of yoga and specially the Jivamukti method has made me better at everything. I have never excelled this far in my studies, never been so clear and determined in my career. But mostly, never been so productive and confident.
The main reason for that is Discipline. I've always been very disciplined but the practice of the Jivamukti method took it to another level. Whether it's .
• taking the tip-toe descent before crow pose even though you physically are able to skip that .
• taking a moment to sit at my altar and perform my sadhana, every single day whether it's a second or two hours .
• letting go, dancing it off and drinking wine with sparkling water .
There is discipline. Balance. Moving with a more conscious view of my actions. I am forever grateful for being a Jiva student and even more grateful to share this method.
Very rainy grey days in London... But so many plans to look forward to. Including this incredible place! My 2018 retreat is taking place in gorgeous Olhao, Portugal, and it looks a little something like this. Luxurious, sunny, and full of charm. EARLY BIRD price ends this week!! 🐦 Expect rooftop yoga, delicious vegetarian food, a beautiful pool, and all the time you need to relax.
We came to Vietnam with a tiny backpack (laptop size bag) each, I packed a bunch of shorts and tops, black leggings, one pair of sneakers, one pair of slops and some bikinis. No make up, no nail polish - just me this holiday. It’s been refreshing not posting photos while trying to wear the right outfit or get the right location. Just posting the real simple me✌🏼
Also, I didn’t know I could get my legs to split like this - still a long way to go, but I’m hella proud😊

Been having a blast in Australia but this morning saw me wake with a feeling of fatigue and lethargy. These are the days yoga is most important. When you want to stay in bed, you must rise. My second class @jivamuktiyogasydney this time with Doug bought me back to life. Thank you 🙏🏼 This was one of those classes you don't want to end. You know the ones? Completely in the zone, I would have loved for it to be longer. In savasana I felt really free and with that yummy bliss state feeling we have all learnt to love in yoga. Sometimes I want that to last longer. But then that's when meditation is great 😊🙌🏽 I am now feeling revived and awake again 😊#thankyou#gratitude#jivamuktiyoga#jivamuktiyogasydney#yoga#peace#love#blissstate#yogi#yogagirl#yogateacher#learn#grow#aum#shanti#mantra#unstruckyoga
Opening up on the internet has been a huge fear of mine ever since I made this Instagram account. We live in a society where we use social media as a way to present our best selves, but that’s sooo silly! It’s even more important now to be real and open on the internet. I used to care a lot about how other people viewed me. When someone didn’t like me, I took it personally. I would get so upset if someone said something unkind about me or even if I could feel passive aggression in our interactions, placing so much pressure on myself to please others. The truth is, it has always been kind of hard for me to fit in. Maybe because I’m a little non-traditional and free-spirited. But it used to make me really sad and feel like I was all alone. It still does sometimes; it’s not always easy for me to not care when someone doesn’t approve of me in some way, but it has gotten so. much. better. I’m finally starting to really let go. I’m starting to understand that other people’s opinions aren’t really about me. All of their thoughts are just a reflection of how they view themselves, and the things they don’t like about me are just a reflection of the things that they don’t like or accept about themselves. Every day I am becoming more myself by not apologizing for who I am and letting go of my fear of letting other people see that I’m a human being, and I am not perfect. But I am doing my best. Life is too short to live it for someone else. Be yourself today, it looks good on you! Namaste y’all ✌🏼😘 P.S. bra by @aloyoga

Get fed up ! But don’t do it because a teacher tells you to do it or because it’s a rule ; do it for your own reasons, because you’re fed up with the way things have been and you want them to change . Do it because you want to do it . Do it to get rid of a cruel dictator —your identification with your mind. Do it as your personal revolution .

Now this is yoga as I have observed it in the natural world.
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali I.1 You think my feet are there, but no I am back home! Sometimes things seem to be in a way, but they are not! Sometimes we think to know, but we are not!
It depends always on the point of view and many other things! Happy to offer three Jivamukti classes next week at the Yoga Atelier!
