⇞ Yama-dera (mountain temple) was founded over 1200 years ago and it’s well known for its beautiful trail that leads you to the top of the observatory on top of the mountain. Along the trail there are over 30 temples you can visit. This place is also where the great haiku poet Matsuo Bashō came up with his most famous haiku.⇞ #gotohoku#jnto @jnto
⇞ This place is unbelievable. I can’t comprehend the amount of snow that they get here. Mount Zao is a volcanic mountain that also serves as a ski resort. The town at the bottom of the mountain is a quaint little town called Zao Onsen where you can see hot springs in every corner. ⇞

⇞ The land of the rising sun. Very stoked to meet and explore Tohoku, Japan’s northeast region known for its quiet little hot spring towns, beautiful winter landscape, snowy mountains, ancient castles and temples perched on mountain tops. ⇞
While photographing #onassignment on Miyajima Island, I met these two Japanese women who were dressed in beautiful kimonos after coming from a wedding. Later that day I happened to see them being greeted by one of the friendly Japanese deer who freely roam the island. Swipe right to see why Alphaville's "Big in Japan" song really resonates with me! // See more images from my assignment with @NatGeoTravel in #Japan in my latest blog post in my profile link or here: http://bit.ly/OnAssignmentJapan
Konichiwa mina-san!! I have been selected for a FAM trip to Japan, which is jointly organized by Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO ) @visitjapanjp and SHIRUCAFE.
For the trip, I will be sharing my experiences right from the VISA application process to the end of the trip.
Today I received my VISA for my Japan trip. I am sharing my experience of applying VISA to Japan below. 【VISA application experience】
For visiting Japan, the VISA application process is done at the Consulate General of Japan, Chennai, India through VFS Hyderabad centre. For the purpose, I went through the VFS website and browse through the process and the documents required. After preparing the necessary documents mentioned on the website, I went to VFS Hyderabad for the VISA application. The overall VISA application process was smooth and quick as I had the necessary documents.
Overall, the customer support team were helpful in clarifying doubts and the VISA application process was simple.
After the VISA application process, it took only 5 days to get the VISA (three days for processing and 2 days for the courier to be delivered to my address). #JNTO#SHIRUCAFE#visitjapanjp#FAMtrip
