Awesome time with the homies today up and down Box Canyon to the Park and back. Love the Ventum more with every ride! Bonus, top ten on the descent with a completely solo effort. Was a good day!!!
First time to Joshua Tree. I missed the memo from @myiajoy that it was an 80's themed camp site 😉 hahaha. It felt so good to get away from the city. To be covered in a blanket made of stars. To hear the pounding of my own heart. The sound bowl of my own soul. I found myself in such different ways out there. Ways in which I've been looking to reconnect with for a very long time. I was gifted with such amazing company when the moments were right. I found myself in the darkness of all that is with the help of special jerky. Detaching from my body and quite literally just existing in the vastness of the Universe. It's amazing what getting away even just for a couple of days can do for you. I'm so thankful for this experience even though it may seem so small to some.
We stayed in an Airbnb in Joshua Tree and this windmill was in the yard. Only about 8 ft tall but I loved it. Also made a nice foreground for sunsets - Canon 6D, 14mm Samyang lens, 20 secs, f2.8, ISO 3500
sometimes when one of us works outdoors and sunset comes around, we drop what we're doing and just admire the gorgeous sky. the desert taught us to make time to slow down and appreciate the small things in life. it makes each day a very rewarding experience, not only one step closer to finishing our home, but also bring us closer together.
Today's field trip came with a little lesson, @aislynmahoney learned that sometimes you can sink into the sand when pulling over on the shoulder but with some quick thinking and teamwork we were back on the road in under 10 minutes. Now @emileerolleg @johnblaiss and @ma.d.d.ie.jade all know what to do in the future. #fieldtrip#joshuatree
