Family| First Family Vacation with babieS
Usually new parents get overwhelmed when they want to go out the house with their baby! Imagine a mommy of twins planning their first vacation🤪
Our first trip which was more like a trial for future travels with the babies was to a 2h driving resort... Although I planned my packing list ahead, still gone are the days of traveling light! On top of countless daily basic needs, I had to pack extra, just incase 🤨
We stayed at The Palace Hotel; a large resort in Sun City were you don’t even have to get out of it & that what motivated us the most!! Upon arrival I made sure to have extra water for the babies in the fridge & requested two cribs in order to keep my babies sleeping routine.
Although we usually go out without nannies, being away for 3 days without an extra help was a bit challenging.
My husband is a real caring dad & helping husband, still I had to do most of the major stuff. Yet, I wanted to make sure to enjoy every moment. Before, a trip like that meant to relax under the sun sipping my favorite drink, enjoying the yummiest food and trying all the adventurous activities! Whereas this time lying down was just for minutes before the noise surrounding the babies wake one of them up, instead of dressing up for a fancy dinner, we enjoyed room service menus while chilling in our room at 7:00 p.m. (babies sleeping time) & the only adventure we could have is strolling around the pool with our little angels.
With so much humbleness, I was really so proud of myself as I managed to keep our daily routine as much as possible! I just took things so easy, going with the flow & not stressing out, making the resort our home and trusting that God won’t bless me with these two souls at a time without giving me the strength & ability to handle them.
Granted, the experience was different from our previous travels, but totally worth the memories we made & being able to bond together again as we hadn’t spent that much time together since our daughters arrival!
Parenthood will drive your life to a totally different way! But every road has a special fascinating scenery! You will be amazed of what you are capable of handling!
Was there someone significant in your life that taught you how to read? ⠀
Meet Makgotso. Last year, Makgotso helped Keamogetse and 15 other children at Ekukhanyisweni Primary School learn to read. To read her story & watch the full video, click the link in our profile.
