#JSAChallenge Day 66/84: I don’t usually do core exercises but I decided this week to start adding them in at the end of my training sessions. I discovered this suitcase hold exercise where you hold a heavy DB or KB for 30 seconds on one side then switch sides. I thought, “Oh, sure. No problem.” But of course, like with most things, the things that sound and look easy really aren’t. Trying to keep my upright posture in check, making sure I wasn’t letting the dumbbell touch my side, and remembering to breathe required a lot of concentration on my part. I’ll definitely have to keep doing this one in front of a mirror or my phone to keep my body from cheating.
Today was deadlift/back day and it was a struggle🙈 The con to tracking macros again is that I know what’s in my mums cooking and means I have to either sacrifice a nice home cooked meal or eat a minimum throughout the day so I’ve been pretty starving all day but it will be worth it 🐷😍 I feel like people have misinterpreted some of my little rant that I put on my story so just to clear things up:
1. I’m not saying BCAA’s don’t have their advantages - they do if you can’t get enough protein in your diet. But my main point was people buy them purely because a girl on Instagram is holding it telling them to buy it (so they get commission) without educating themselves. 🤓💸
2. I’m not saying anything bad about GymShark or Womensbest or any other popular gymbrand products. I’m saying I feel like it’s become a lot more about camera angles, fake tan, trainers and eyelashes instead of fitness, health, dedication and achievements which is a shame.👟👛
3. I’m not dissing vegans. I just completely disagree when people try and force their beliefs on everyone else. If you’re vegan for ethical reasons then fair enough but don’t try and make everyone else feel bad for eating meat and tell us it’s ‘healthier’ to be vegan.🌱🤷🏼♀️
Seemed like another rant then but felt like things needed to be cleared up 🙈🤓 (this is just my opinion so of course everyone will feel differently) 🙃🙃
Oh and finally I’m bored of this whole ‘this is healthy’ ‘this isn’t healthy’ thing 😴 Everything is healthy and unhealthy in it’s own way so eat what you want and do what you want and if others eat and live different let them 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
