For the longest time, my life was a battle of claiming certain foods as ‘bad’ others as ‘good’ and often going to the extremes of wanting to completely cut something out of my diet.
Without going too much into it on this post, I’ve had a very negative relationship with food, from binging to restricting..
Although I am always working towards finding balance- I have, by no means, mastered it.
BUT let me share what has worked for me, and what I am still working on...
🌟Fueling my body with REAL, WHOLE FOOD gives me proper energy. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. 🌟Adding fresh pressed juice into my diet a few days a week helps me feel energized and hydrated (I’m talking homemade with a juicer- highly recommend! And no it is not taking the place if any meal)
🌟 Forgiving myself if I feel that I overindulged. It happened. Move on- sulking and/or restricting is NOT going to help.
🌟 Remind yourself that food is a wonderful, wonderful thing. It fuels you. You always deserve food, not only if you work out hard enough.
🌟 No way around it... you are what you eat. If you eat ‘crap’ you will probably feel like crap. This isn’t to say never eat the crap. Hell, if I could live off of ice cream I would. But...
🌟Moderation is key. This is by far the hardest one for me. This is where I struggle with balance, where feelings of guilt often come in.. but I am learning.
🌟Listen to your body. Just because someone is doing a vegan, paleo, whole 30, gluten free, Juice cleans, low cal, low carb diet... doesn’t mean you should. You do YOU babe. Listen to your morals, your body, and your soul. 👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾 Overall, remember that food can heal you. It is something that not only nourishes our body, but can feed our soul. Which makes us happy- let’s all work towards that 😂
I urge you all to read “Intuitive Eating”— it has flipped my perspective and relationship with how I view food.

Day 3 of my juice cleanse! This time around it has been hard. I’ve felt super hungry and a little irritable and have had to supplement with some cooked veggies (and maybe half a slice of pizza last night 🤭🙈 - which made me ill ... 😓). But, I just keep going even if I fail to meet my ideal goals. That’s all I can do!
