A few weeks ago, I found out my artwork was infringed upon and my infamous octopus was being printed on sweatshirts and t-shirts by a company called Spreadshirt @spreadshirt. While the company took the listing down, I cannot locate the fraudulent woman who stole my design. The company would only provide an email to contact her even though their terms and conditions allows them to ask their account holders to provide contact info if requested. The email provided was a fake email address and it lead no where, and her account is still active with the company so she can continue to sell other potentially fraudulent designs, she is known as B4ni3s on their website. Do not support our buy from Spread Shirt or this user account.
So artists, here are my tips 1. Know your rights to your copyright, you own the copyright even if you don't register it. 2. Get a good lawyer. 3. Google yourself often. 4. Take to social media to get the word out when your designs are stolen 5. And again DO NOT buy from this company who supports copyright infringement and who makes money off of other artist's stolen designs.
