I love how easy #blueapron makes my evenings! Tonight was #crispycatfishandplumsauce over white rice with carrots and peas. Very yummy and perfect after returning home from a quick 24 hr trip to see my grandparents. Prepping for more family time tomorrow 🙌🏻❤️ #happyweekend
HELLO CALIFORNIA 🌴☀️ We got here just in time to sit by the pool at our hotel. 😂 Gotta run to the grocery store to get some yummies for the week. So excited for a much needed week playing on the beach and at Universal & Disneyland! YAS. 🙌🏼👌🏼 Haven't worked out today, but no biggie! I'll get it in tomorrow morning. 💪🏼💦 Any recommendations for delicious restaurants in the LA area? Shoot them my way! I love trying new places! 😛
Finally got in a work out during this ultra busy week I've been having!
I did @kayla_itsines's Week 1 arms #BBG work out! And I'm impressed to say that I successfully completed every rep of all of the push ups and push up variations during it!😃🙌 If you've been following me you'd know that a few months ago in May I was really struggling with completing a full BBG arm work out because of all of the push ups. I just didn't have the strength at the time and it was embarrassing making it through only half the reps. Well after #weightlifting for two and a half months I am now able to do all of the reps! Which equaled 60 push ups and 60 lying push ups in one work out! Woohoo!! All that weight lifting really paid off!
It's fun feeling #stronger ! I'm able to lift more, move more, stand up for longer, do more things. It's so rewarding, too, knowing that it was MY hard work and consistency that helped me become stronger! One thing about fitness: you can't fake it 💪🏻 So go out there and get #STRONG !!

Fun way to kill your booty/amp up your LISS sessions:
5 mins incline walking at a steady pace/ 5 mins resistance band kickbacks (at a much slower pace!) Repeat for 30 minutes, and don't forget to stretch! Send prayers for my walking abilities tomorrow 🙏🏼
Ten years, a couple attempts at different workout programs, varying ideas about what foods I should and shouldn't be consuming and finally I am at a place where I am happy with who I am! It takes time, but when you realize that happiness isn't about how much you weigh or how many days you go without eating "bad" food, it is one amazing feeling.
Haha, I am not the most graceful stair climber 🙈 but I tried it! Such a fun event with @michelobULTRA today at beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater! Tried so many new and different workouts then ended my day the best way I know how: 🍻. The next event is in sunny So Cal and YOURS TRULY will be teaching a yoga class! My Healing Toast // so today's post is a little different than usual. I've been pretty sick the past few days and I finally saw a doctor today. Unfortunately it's viral, which means I just have to let it run its course because antibiotics won't work. I was pretty pissed because I was so looking forward to taking a pill and feeling better asap!! But on the other hand, it's better to not have to take antibiotics because it really messes with your gut flora. Anywho, I didn't have much of an appetite today so I made my go-to comfort food, which is delicious as well as healing! It's simply toast topped with coconut butter, cinnamon, honey and some sea salt. Whenever I'm sick, I try to consume as much cinnamon and honey as possible (especially when my throats hurts) and I find it helps speed up the healing process.
As you scan see, I couldn't wait for the pic and snuck a bite lol oops 🙊
What healing/comfort do you go to when you're sick? Any tips for me to help with my ailing throat?? 😷
Arm day cut short because apparently the gym closes early on weekends 😭 only have 40 minutes but need to get in a good arm workout? Here's what I did today!
•tricep pull down
•lat pull down
•assisted pull ups
All in 1 minute intervals until the gym kicked me out 😂 not as high intensity as my usual lifting days but still left feeling the burn 💪🏽
⭐️ The timing is never perfect. Just start. Then keep going⭐️
The photo on the left was taken on 23 September 2015. I had pretty must just quit my job as a lawyer. I didn't have a new job to go to and to be honest I didn't even know what I wanted to do. My little girl still wasn't sleeping through the night and I was totally exhausted, emotionally and physically. I wasn't in a great place. I wanted to get fit and lose weight but I didn't know how to and I was just so exhausted it seemed totally impossible. But with the encouragement of my husband I made the decision to start @kayla_itsines BBG after seeing another woman's transformation pic.
The first few weeks I could barely do more than a few reps of any exercise and I found it too hard to change my nutrition. Progress was SLOW. But I just kept going and each week I'd get a little fitter and make another small change to my nutrition. I started this Insta to keep myself accountable but I didn't expect anyone to actually follow me. I would get discouraged a lot - there's been a lot of setbacks - but I kept trying to remind myself it was a lifestyle change, not a fad diet. Before I knew it a whole year had passed! I completed over 70 weeks of the BBG and then I decided I wanted to start lifting heavier weights so I joined a gym. .
Next thing I know I'm the fittest and strongest I've ever been, training for powerlifting comps, tracking macros and nearly 50k people are following my journey on here 🏋🏻♀️ Things don't need to "perfect" for you to work on getting healthier and fitter. Start where you are, with what you have.... just start 😘
So, I went out of town for the weekend. I'm usually SOOO bad about eating junk food during the car ride and just eating whatever because I'm on vacation. Proud to say I've kept it healthy and haven't indulged in all of the junk. I'm not saying it's bad to indulge, but for me it's not just indulging a little. I have to have it alllll! Haha. ALSO I've kept up with my workouts as well! Another reason why I love Kayla's BBG workouts, you can do them wherever! So no excuses! #kaylasarmy#kaylaitsines#progress#healthy#lifestyle#change#sweat#plums#bbgmoms#bbg#noexcuse#strong#weekone
