30 DAY ABS CHALLENGE 
DAY 1
Started a 30 day challenge with a few friends today. I did 40 mins on the bike and did day one... twice. It's a bit easy for me. But the days at the end of the challenge are going to be.. er... challenging!! Hope I build up enough strength to be able to smash those out.

This may not be much for most people, but for me, it's the most flexible I've ever been and I love seeing how much I progress each day! 
I've had a lot of treats this past week so I think it's time I get back on track! I was really feeling cardio today so I decided to switch up my cardio and resistance days this week. Gotta do whatever it takes to stay motivated, right?! How are you all staying motivated this week?

What are you doing to reduce your plastic footprint this week? Making small changes means with each decision, each purchase you make, you can either increase or decrease the amount of plastic consumed. Here's a few little things I'm doing- bringing my own bags, making my own dips/hummus, buying almond milk in a box, buying all my pantry ingredients in bulk, looking into microfibres ๐Ÿ˜ณ, and sitting down for every meal/coffee (just saying NO to take away). What are your ways to reduce plastic? Tell me in the comments ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ. What are some things you cannot change? For me, I don't know how to buy berries without plastic. I grow some, but not nearly enough. .

Recipe:
1 cup - pitted medjool dates
1/2 raw almonds
1/2 raw walnuts
1/4 cocoa powder
1.5 teaspoons vanilla extra
1 tablespoon water 
1/4 unsweetened shredded coconut 
Blend all ingredients together until sticky enough to roll into a ball. Then roll them in a little extra coconut to finish!

Not sure about you, but I always feel fancy AF when I make fish "en papillote" ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธbut truth is, it's like BEYOND easy. Just season your fish with your fav spices, add your fave veggies (I personally love doing tomatoes, squash, asparagus, etc), add a tb or so of olive oil, and then wrap it all up in parchment paper and then bake (making sure all edges are sealed) at 350 for 10-ish min. This is the trout en papillote from this week's @sunbasket meal delivery kit, that I paired with their yummy cucumber salad (not pictured). Hope you guys are having a great day! #kalejunkie

Been on plan all week, went over on syns yesterday but only had 2 today! I've been to the gym for an hour AND to clubbercise ,which my lovely friend @nicolamariesw trusty watch told us we'd burnt over 500 kcals in the one hour. 
Had the idea to make my portion sizes smaller by putting my food inside the cucumber. Yummy speedy slag Bol tonight :). Mon-SLAY

It's amazing how much smaller my waist looks by pulling my underwear up higher ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ I just wanted to share this little #transformation I was taking bikini photos earlier and seeing which were my most flattering angles/poses and these photos were part of that. High waisted underwear are more flattering as they make your waist appear a lot smaller, same goes for high waisted leggings. I know I wear them because they make me look good and feel more comfortable, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I created this account though to show you my complete journey, the good and the bad. Most the photos I post are at my best but it's also important to share with you when I'm not at the best. If I'm bloated, or just standing normally not posed or am having a bad body image day. All these things are normal and they should be shared so people can see nobody's perfect. Always remember instagram is a highlight reel.. don't compare your reality to someone else's insta page because nobody walks around with abs 24/7 ๐Ÿ’œ

Roasted Vegetable Soup topped with Hickory Smoked Bacon ๐ŸŒฟ Recipe below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Roast your favourite Veggies and 4 unpeeled cloves of garlic in the oven at 200/400 degrees for approx 45 minutes. I used sweet potato, carrots, broccoli and tomatoes. Season with chilli powder, salt & pepper. *Remember to remove skin from garlic before blending.* Once veggies are tender blend them with two cups of chicken stock and transfer to a sauce pan. Blend in multiple batches to ensure a smooth consistency. Add about a teaspoon of paprika powder, simmer and continue adding chicken stock until desired thickness. Add additional salt and pepper as needed. Optional: Garnish with Bacon for extra flavour, fat and protein. โ€ข

My training has been basically nothing, but I am feeling good thanks to #bbg (although that hasnโ€™t been so consistent lately either!) however tonight at running club I started to really excited for the race. Itโ€™ll be my fourth HM, and theyโ€™re really fun; I mean you get to eat every 5km so itโ€™s basically a party ๐Ÿ˜‚
But seriously, I have some positive affirmations that I say while running and once I settle into my breath i feel quite ok. So Iโ€™m going to aim for some interval training this week, one 15K run this weekend and then just have fun ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

In the past before I got into fitness I didn't track calories, and didn't really think about eating. I used to skip breakfast and not eat until lunch which thinking back was HELL NO cause now I have to HAVE my morning porridge๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜…
I have had a few stages where I thought that I could lose a few pounds of fat here or there, and wanting to lose it FAST, I cut my calories drastically. BIG mistake๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿป I ended up losing most of my muscle mass and actually gained body fat. 
When you starve your body of energy and nutrients, it clings onto the fat for dear life. You also have to feed the muscles so they remain๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ When cutting you're bound to lose a little muscle but you really don't have to cut drastically to see results๐Ÿ™ƒ
In this picture I had just started cutting and was eating around 1600 calories a day. 
Just make sure you are eating enough if you want to lower that body fat percentage. FEED yourself, you'll see much better results that way๐Ÿ˜‡

My lunchhhhh. 10 grams of fat, 34 grams of proteinnn. Had the salmon marinate overnight in seasoning and honey per usual. This dish is sooooo easy, so cheap, and so good for you. UM YAAA so that was today because itโ€™s currently almost 90 degrees with I N S A N E humidity and I was all about NOT going to the gym. But I DID. I've been doing a lot more glute focused exercises on leg day. I figured my 2 @soulcycle rides a week kill my legs (in a good way, of course) so I spend my time squeezing and squatting away ๐Ÿ˜‚ I do feel like at my age, I've gotta work a lil harder to keep everything perkier, am I right?! ๐Ÿ˜
