If you look closely into the photos esp the one with my wife, it is as though an ant would have slipped off from the surface if he were to land on my face due to the licin-ness as falsely portrayed to me by Samsung.
Turned 42 yesterday and finally finding time to write this thank you message to all of you who sent me birthday messages since the clock turned 12 midnight yesterday. A lot happened on the eventful day but everything just went so well. Yes the first being Liverpool beating Man Citeh 4-3 (could have been 4-1 and yes BP went up looking at things towards the end) but we take that kind of result all day long!
Then spending the wonderful day meeting two ministers in two different events of course and icing on the cake would be walking up collecting the award for Kechara Soup Kitchen. Taking the opportunity to thank all volunteers who have been helping all these while.
Naturally wanting to spend MY day meaningfully, would want to attend the usual Dharma class and what more wonderful than having the opportunity to learn it in Rinpoche's Ladrang with the usual suspects. After that fruitful session, there was a surprise birthday cake and I thought the timing wasn't too right as I had just galloped a gongfu char 😅😅 in my heart, why you have to wait after I had eaten?? 🤣 thank you very much for the cake as I like it! Just the timing hehehe
Well you don't understand, I have to beat the clock and be back home by 12 and blow another candle and (thanks to the thoughtfulness of my wife Jun Mah) served me durian tart. P/S I made home 2359 hrs and boy if you are old enough like me, You will understand what is Macguyver moment! 😂 I want to thank her for all the love she gave to me and thank you for being ever patient with me allowing me time to do what I like to do most in lieu of some quality time with you. I LOVE YOU wifey.
Of course normally on your birthday, you would receive gifts and wishes but the best wishes I know todate would be from Carmen Koo. She happened to be in Nepal and what she did was she lit 50 butterlamps for me and sent me a photo of her lighting the butterlamps. Looks so so beautiful. I was very touched and thanks so much Carmen...1/2
Kindly help share! We need more clothes for our friends on the streets! We need a lot of MALE clothes! Preferably long sleeves and long pants!
With the weather getting cooler, our thoughts are to our #streetfriends clients. If you have preloved MALE clothings, kindly drop off at:
Kechara Soup Kitchen Society
No.17 Jalan Barat, off Jalan Imbi,
55100 Kuala Lumpur (Waze or Google Map and you will be able to find us!) Time: Mondays to Fridays - 10am to 6pm Saturdays 10am to 10pm
We will also welcome BRAND NEW socks and under garments but blankets are probably too inconvenient for many. Best is long sleeve shirts and they can wear on top of their shirts especially at night.
We will be distributing to the friends living on the streets the moment we have, judging from the underpridictable weather. As most of them are men, we do not need female clothes at the moment.
Hope we are able to help all of them with clothes apart from food and medical. Thank you in advance!
Photos taken from last night's distribution in Anjung Singgah. You can see the clothes are limited and everyone lined up patiently for their turns to collect the clothes.
Thank you for letting us use the facilities YAYASAN KEBAJIKAN NEGARA in order for us to sort and distribute the clothes to those in need.
Barely got back to KL and bumped into some of the comrades back from the street extending food to our streetfriend clients. Thank you for the great help and I now have another Hungarian friend 😂 #KecharaSoupKitchen#SaturdayNightRounds
LIVE from JB ❤❤❤ Doctor J.h. Chu treating this client now in #JohorBahru . Thanks so much to Irene Leong for donating this portable treatment bed. Helps the medic team a lot so that needy clients get to sleep on and easier for doctors to treat them just like what you see in hospitals! Thank you so much! #KecharaSoupKitchen#SaturdayNightRounds
Something special to reflect on before entering 2018. My first experience to become a volunteer and to serve the homeless clients in KL with water, muffins, oranges, biscuits and cooked food provided by the sponsors to @kecharasoupkitchen. Definitely an eye opener for me and I got to observe what humanity and respect is all about. You know what? We have no idea how fortunate we are. Maybe we should reflect upon our good fortune and be grateful for what we have. Thank you HRH Tengku Zatasha who inspired me to be part of this and blessed to be given a chance to give back to our community. The year 2017 has created so many great moments and highlights in my career. I hope 2018 will be a better year for everyone of us. ❤️😘#givingbacktothecommunity#kecharasoupkitchen#princessz#beablessingtoothers#rotogrip#teammas#winningmentality#malaysianathlete#sinlijane
