My first sea swim in a couple of weeks.  Whilst I try to get in for a dip at least a couple of times a week, but I’ve not had time to have a proper swim when the sea’s not been too rough recently 😔. It was lush today. 🌊🏊‍♀️🌊🏊‍♀️ Just a short early one (1k) before collecting ma boy from his dad’s.  It’s so lovely swimming as the light shifts from dark to dawn to light.  A couple of rain showers too #loveswimmingintherain. The sea was about the same temperature as the air -10degC - which was novel - it’s been warmer than air temp of late. Ana öğün bile yemem sırf onlardan yiyeyim diye. Birçok şeyi değiştirdim, bunu azaltamıyorum bir türlü. Ama her fırsatta hareket etmeye çalışıyorum. Kolay kolay asansör kullanmam. Bu birkaç senedir böyle ama son bir senedir sadece 1-4 kat arası için değil, 8-9 kata kadar bile merdiven kullanmaya başladım. Bunu yapıyorum çünkü yapabilirim. Gün içinde yaptığımız ufak ufak hareketlenmeler bizi zamanla daha fazlası için hazırlıyor. Ama önce o poponun üzerinden kalkmasını bileceksin, üşenmeyeceksin, attığın her adımın zihnine, kalbine, bedenine iyi geldiğinin bilincinde olarak at adımlarını ❤️ - - - - - I’m not great with healthy eating. Nonetheless, I’m still relentlessly trying to better myself in that area. I’m not a big eater, I just eat more of the little things that are high in calories and fat content. My greatest weakness is nuts. I love them all. There are times I skip a main meal just to be able to enjoy more nuts. But I know the consequences. I really need to overcome this. However, I try to keep as active as I can. I try to take advantage of every opportunity. Stairs are hardly ever avoided. I have been using the stairs almost always, where possible, for anything between 1-4 floors for a year now, but in the last few months, I’ve been climbing up to 8-9 floors. I do this because I can. The little steps and short spurts of activity are critical, as they are what initially prepare us to do more with time. But first, you need to get off that butt, stop being lazy and take those steps knowing that every single step is doing something good to your mentality, your heart, your body ❤️

This morning’s “Get up and moving” session lasted 15min, using a couple of pieces of equipment and my imagination! I’ve been running some holiday sprints clinics in my local area and was inspired to use these hexa discs in my session this morning to do a little fast feet training for myself and about 5min skipping with my husband’s rope which I had to put two knots in to shorten it for my height (or lack of)! #practicewhatyouteach #sundays #getmoving #athletes #sport #inspire #youreworthit #activeliving #keepactive #forties #justdoit
